Something is weird about their numbers.
The R2 has an 88 kWh battery.
(957.4/408 = 2.35, not 2.36 miles/kWh)
2.35 miles/kWh * 88 kWh = 207 miles.
For a vehicle with an EPA range of 330 miles, I’d say that’s not very great.
The average speed was 51 mph, assuming they meant they were driving with the vehicle moving for 18 hours, 46 minutes. If they really did average 77 mph while moving, then that suggests they spent about 6 hours charging, which is way too much time for a reasonably-designed vehicle. Something is inaccurate in their statement.
If their average speed was 51 mph, then they got terrible efficiency. No idea why. Excluding a lot of stop-and-go traffic, my full-sized pickup can get >2.5 miles/kWh at 50 mph. A much smaller BEV with less mass and less power output should be able to do better than that.
Maybe they drove 479 miles each day over two days. I drive almost exactly the same distance on my trips to the LA valley every month or so. It takes me approximately 7-8 hours to make that drive, depending on traffic, my speed (too much higher than 72 mph on the freeway actually costs me time), and my bladder. But their time suggests closer to 9.4 hours. I only ever face that kind of time if traffic is worse than usual or there is construction on the freeway.
Basically, we need more context.

R2 Performance Returned 253 Miles Against a 330 EPA
I ran a 70 mph range test on my Rivian R2 Performance and it returned 253 miles against a 330 mile EPA rating. Here is what the gap really means.

At 25% SoC, Jose hit about 200 miles. I think at 10% SoC it was 230 miles. If you Pay for 330 Miles of range, you would hope to get somewhere close to that.
Arriving at zero can be winning if you are headed home and have a charger... I will go to the single digits on the return trip from any road trip knowing I can plug in upon arrival. Of course, if I am headed to a DCFC charger, I would aim for ~20% SOC.
When I’m heading home, I always aim for 5% or less. I don’t like to pay more for electricity than I have to.

However, this is one example and we don’t have enough information to turn this into a data point yet. I’d like to see several other, independent drivers confirm this before I believe it. I’d also like to know the air pressure of the tires, the weather, and some more details of the driver’s results with other vehicles. Does this driver routinely get this kind of result with other vehicles on this same course?

I take it you aren't the kind of person to wait for the gas light before filling up? On both our Grand Cherokee and Pacifica, the range goes to "low" below 30 miles. My goal is to drive another 10-15 before filling up. I know the size of both gas tanks and even with the extra driving, I almost always have another 2 gallons in the tank when I fill up.
My wife on the other hand gets nervous when the range is under 50. She works 8 miles from the house. Math says she could drive to work and back 3 times. Her brain says must fill now.
I don’t go much below a quarter tank. Don’t like it.

Just know that the faith part varies by any OEM.
For example, Swedes are very literal, and if you run a gas Volvo to zero and it runs out of gas, well, then you know that "zero" means "zero" gas in that tank in Sweden. It will also mean "zero" gas left for you if you are driving that Volvo in the USA.
This actually makes too much sense, but you do need to know - esp. if you have been pre-conditioned by other OEM's that allow you to drive for another 30 miles.

That's why I always compare stated tank capacity to what I'm putting in the tank as I test a new-to-me vehicle lower and lower in the range. I had one vehicle where zero meant zero, though I can't remember what it was now. I usually don't run below 1/8 tank, but I like knowing exactly how far I can go, should the need arise.
For the R2 range, most bricks don't like being chunked down the highway at 70+mph, so no judgement there until more results start showing up. This is also a part of why I want the EREV. I'm often running 80-90 and the resulting range would be notably less than my bladder's range.
The 253-mile result at a steady 70 mph is a useful data point. EPA’s highway cycle only averages 48.3 mph, so continuous 70 is a tougher real-world test than the sticker suggests. Usable range (that ~200 miles at 25% SoC) is what most people will actually plan around anyway.

Yeah I think the arrival % is going to be much more context driven than with a gas car. On a road trip I'd want to get home with as close to 0 as possible, but I'd definitely have more range anxiety on the road since I don't know enough about the charging infrastructure.
We just did a Philly -> Virginia Beach trip which was ~275 miles one way. In the R2 it looks like I'd have to make a charging stop on the way but it would definitely be something I'd have to preplan because the direct-route infrastructure is somewhat lacking, and if we're stopping for a bit I'd want to make sure it's a place where the family feels comfortable as well.
Kind of a bummer because with the "330 mile" range I was thinking I could make it in a straight shot.
Driving style plays a huge role to date (albeit 3 months) the Lexus is providing the range it stated and sometimes more. Come winter I’m sure that will change
