That's the way stocks always work though right? Climbs up to an announcement, then as soon as the info is officially available it drops. I see this all the time with Apple.

From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. The stock watch screen on my iPhone is lit-up like an ambulance heading to a 5-alarm fire! Crissakes.
My order date is sometime in June. We're taking a bunch of camping trips this summer and a long trip in August. Delivery of the R2 to us would be too late for those trips. We'll keep our reservation, though. Still min-maxing the options for keeping the Mustang until the Scout is out or trading for a used R1S or waiting for an R2. If we do end up with a Rivian, we'll keep open the option to get a Scout when that's an option.
The pricing is a little better than I would have expected. I have a reservation for an R2, but I had pretty much ruled out getting one. Seeing this pricing, and the ability to get autonomy included in the launch edition pricing, makes it tempting. I still think the Scout will be better for me, but it will likely cost more and is probably 2 years away.
If I were Scout, I would try to put something out that would keep people interested so that they don’t jump to the R2. I know they are different vehicles, but the same demographic will buy both.

Reevaluating everything, I think pricing is very good and competitive. I love the way the R2 looks in Green. Definitely want to test drive one. Still keeping my Scout reservation though.
