What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
One feature I would like to “not” see would be badging on the vehicle that dirties up the clean look (as we see on the prototypes). PLEASE do NOT slap badges on Scouts stating obvious features on these rides:

-4x4
-EV/Hybrid badging

I can’t stand when vehicles (cough cough….Tesla) display “dual motor” or others say what their EV mode is. I don’t really care that I can identify if a vehicle is a PHEV on the badging.

I trust Scout has already made the right decision on this as they constantly mention clean lines and honouring tradition, I just had to post it lol.

This isn't something I think about until I see it out in the wild...and I am not a fan either. I think the branding they've incorporated into the Harvester version of the EV (graphics on the cap) is beautifully subtle, and I hope they don't deviate from that.

Completely agree with you and @OldBones covered my one thought about the harvester. It’s subtle, beautifully done and the second cap should be enough to remind people it’s not EV only. If they end up with a reaper version at some point I do think a subtle little Grimm reaper image/decal/badge would be cool. Otherwise it looks so good as it is

Rear cargo door window to roll down for convenience and air flow and or the ability to leave rear top hatch open and close bottom so Long cargo items can extend out back on short trips.
Welcome to the community! The window on the Traveler will not roll down it appears. The Terra’s window will, but I think you are referencing the Traveler here. It has been asked before to have that window roll down like a 4Runner but it doesn’t appear there’s enough room in the hatch to have it go down.

As for driving with the top hatch open, having seen them in person on Saturday, that would be a big hatch to have open on the road. I don’t know about that.

This has been a highly requested option.

Painted steel wheel options with small center caps/hub caps.
More single or small groups of options not requiring large costly packages.
Al la carte options have been mentioned many times on here. I am hoping we don’t have to spend money on things in a package when we only want one or two items. A good follow is @Jamie@ScoutMotors He keeps us updated on things from the manufacturer and the search function is very helpful.

The help feature is a great area of knowledge & discussion. Try it out, it will answer a lot of your question and point you in the right direction to continue the conversation.

Even though Scout will be very capable off-road, they will also need to have compelling "real-world" specs to gain traction in the broader market across a larger buying segment (than just rock crawling for example). I would not be surprised at all if they defer to 3rd parties for many things like meaty mudchucker tires and steel wheels (for example). Its sort of the way the aftermarket already works today and Scout has indicated that they will configure the truck in such a way that someone could add lights or bumpers or bars or racks or other accessories. I only mention this b/c specs will be negatively impacted by certain "customizations" that customers can essentially elect to just make on their own. Poor specs would negatively impact sales. Personally, I would rather have the truck come from the factory kitted appropriately at a certain trim (hopefully only a few), then optionally upgrade the vehicle or customize later. This also helps keeps initial costs down. We'll need to wait and see how packages are put together and how certain trim levels come to market, and then see what the testing looks like for efficiency based on each trim, each tire and wheel config, each suspension, etc. Then buyers can opt to decrease their efficiency accordingly, and Scout will not need to bear that burden or take that penalty.

There's also a secondary benefit to keeping trim levels tight at initial production... Market & brand recognition at launch. I could see there being HIGH VALUE for Scout to simply come to market with a less efficient Off-Road variant and a more "appearance package"-oriented variant (with maybe one trim level in the middle). Will have to wait and see... If there were 5 or 6 different trim levels it would also slow production and dilute the effect of a strong branding effort at launch (and add tremendous expense on the line)

Great idea but already been told this won’t be happening-t split with tailgate is unable to roll down. I’m all for a lock method to open the hatch a small portion to hip long as you suggest but having seen it I’d be afraid the lower gate may be too low to safely work. But if they can do either and/or both I’d be thrilled

Put my deposit down and very excited!

Would love to have:
- Heads up display
- Premium audio system
- Back/front cooktop upgrade option for camping/tailgating
- Bench seat option to include a fold down middle seat with cup holder and phone charging.

Thanks also for having a message board for the product! I appreciate the communication and community aspect of the Scout relaunch from the jump!
