What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Ability to add factory skid plates for off roading, and a factory drawer / sleeping platform solution
I think the Traveler will have a nice sleeping platform. We can’t confirm yet but the prototype had the same material and pattern on the back of the rear seats that the cargo floor is made of so it appears like it should all fold flat.

My sister's VW Atlas has a very nice sleep platform. With the rear sears folded flat, it is a singe plane from the tailgate to the back of the front seats. It is also great for cargo. That would be nice. Most SUVS have fold flat seats but they are higher than the cargo area.

It in an EV, there should never be situation where "starter" battery dies.

Apple Car Key works many hours after your phone or watch battery dies. And you can still carry RFID backup in your wallet in addition to that.

(IMO, no new car should come with fob — it is just a waste of manufacturing cost and an extra hassle to carry with you)
Yes I will be coming out of an I-Pace and the start batteries (2) die at least every three years. Very lame but keeps the Jaguar reputation alive.

Great feature. My Jaguar has it and while never have used it seems like a great feature.
Have been a few times in other vehicles where this would have been utilized.
The only problem is all the cool kids that drive around with their fogs on blinding the vehicle behind them. As I remember when you turned them on it was all or nothing, no separate switch for rear.

The Grenadier had an option where you could get a locking compartment in the middle of the spare tire carrier. I don’t know if it would be possible the way the tire carrier is shaped in the Scout but it could be a useful option for some people.
I apparently didn’t get a very good picture straight on but you can see part of the lock and the hinge.

And can I just said again I love how they have the option for that red underneath.

Is that really a small compartment? Or, simply keeping someone from helping themselves to your spare?

I just found a video. It is indeed a storage box with added feature of locking spare removal.

Small compartment. I really considered that car so I built them many times online and went and test drove them twice. Here is a picture of it without the compartment.

The rear tire carrier needs an integrated bottle opener 😎
It’s funny you say that because early on we had some extensive conversations about that. At that time we didn’t know there was a tire carrier but that would work well. I’d want to on the inside so when sitting on the tailgate you could lean over and open a bottle without having to get up 😀
