Travelall 3 Row

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I like that Scout has a bench option... Probably helps take care of those "in-between" the need for a 3rd row... My wife has a 3rd row and it hardly ever gets used. Having a bench gives you a 3X3 seating config which is probably attractive for many...

With a 3rd Row SUV, you typically need more cargo area to go along with the extra passengers for "stuff".... I'm not sure an "ass-heavy" Scout would be too attractive unless you like the look of the traveller attached to a small school bus
I picked up this OBS 2500 Suburban when I was stationed in Oxnard and loved it. It was an awesome road tripper aside from the fact the Edelbrock crate engine got single digit MPG and gas was around $5/gallon there in 2009. I drove it from coast to coast when I moved to my next duty station and will never forget that trip.

Now I actually have the need for something like it again and have always wanted a Scout Travelall. Just look at this beauty! For those unfamiliar with the Scout brand they indeed made a larger vehicle called the Travelall (referenced in the title of this thread) and would be a different vehicle than the Traveler with a longer wheelbase.

If other people dont like it, thats totally cool with me. If all of our needs were the same there would only be one brand of cars making only one model. But they arent, and thankfully there are tons of options out there for just about everyone, and the aftermarket fills in the rest of those gaps.

I hope as Scout grows they can bring more of these legends back to life.

I hope everyone gets what they want. They have to start somewhere, but someday I hope they have a 3 row and a 2 door. That would be awesome.

I 100% agree - that Travelall is a real 'bute Clarke. I have nothing against a giant Scout - its just a different (future) edition that what we are looking at first, and will def have very different attributes... The current traveler seems more oriented toward possible off-road excellence.

Definitely!

I would still keep the Traveler for being more capable on the hardcore trails but when it comes to beach days, basic fire roads, and BDR trails there are thousands of folks out there having adventures in Fool Size rigs too. It would be nice to have even more room for road trips in the future as the kiddos get older.

The only reason I initially considered a new Scout was because they offer the bench seat in an actual offroad focused vehicle. The other options were the Tremor F250 (which is huge and unnecessary for my use case) or a Trail Boss Chevy (which are pretty terrible offroad).

I think most people just dont realize how difficult it is to find a capable rig that seats 6.

Wow thanks for the Travelall photo. First Travelall I have ever seen.

My dad had one of the Suburban's (his was yellow and white like in this pic) when I was a kid, loved it and its stuck in my memory. When I was older I saw my first Travelall and was obsessed. I didn't know until recently he had a green Travelall as well. Clearly he has a type of vehicle he likes lol Currently has an Expedition L

Just another fun tidbit, Scout also made a Travelette; a long wheelbase pickup.

The Traveall and Travelette also had Heavy Duty options so you could get full float axles underneath them.

Maybe we will see a Terra with an 8ft bed someday

Oh yes, huge fan of these. If I had the endless money pile like I imagine in my dreams I would send one to Icon 4x4 and have it all redone with no expense spared.

Ugh tell me about it.

They make some beautiful rigs.

Some years ago they offered me a position as a project manager but the kids were young and the ex wife wasnt interested in moving to California.

Still kick myself for turning it down in hindsight.
