Travelall 3 Row

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

That’s it. People would buy Scouts just because he quotes that in a commercial. BRILLIANT
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Seriously! Someone posted that magazine that you would get with a Scout purchase and one of the articles was James Caan and his Scout. Now I don’t know about you but I don’t think of James Caan when I think of Scout. We need someone who is kind of off the wall and that would catch people attention.

Okay starting a thread….

So just for fun, if Scout designed a Travelall, do you think they would use the same Harvester engine?

Do you think the Harvester would get a larger battery or a larger fuel tank with the extra frame length?

Would it be lower with smaller tires and more range focused?

How would you want Scout to build it?

My personal opinion is that it will be a stretched body on the the Terra wheelbase. I think the harvester version will be basically the same as 500 miles of range is way more than enough even if people say they want or need more. I also think the battery in the BEV version will be the same in all versions. If they do this it should keep production cost and complexity down and bring it to market sooner.

They start discussing a 3 row SUV at around 1:01:00 and it sounds like he is saying its based off of the SUV.

Basing it off of the Terra makes sense to me too though.

I would assume same engine for simplicity and larger battery pack but guess it depends on the charge time and capacity of the engine

One would think the 800v architecture would still make charging a larger battery relatively fast compared to current EV charging speeds. Maybe it will be less of an issue to charge such a large battery and the BEV will be more appealing with 450+miles range..

I am thinking same motor, larger battery, which would be another sweet spot for us. Fits all the kids, uses battery 90% of the time, gas for long road trips every couple months... Best of everything. Maybe same motor with a turbo to make up for charging needs? i know they said 5,000 lbs towing capacity for harvester models and I know that is a moving number until we see production but man it would be cool to see a little more cause this would also be a killer truck for a mid size travel trailer.

100% agree.

I would own two Scouts if they do that.
