My Perfect Build (Personal Opinion)

Styling and Color options are already a 10 plus so keep it just the way it is.

1) I do some off roading (not rock climbing) so decent capability is a must, which it appears you have nailed perfectly.
2) I will be adding a standard aluminum shell tent so a bed rack option or accessory would be nice in aluminum. Or, at least mounting options.
3) Apple Car play is a must, please don't try to reinvent the wheel like others have done and failed miserably. Perhaps an integration with popular off road mapping solutions like X. The reason I am considering you instead of Rivian is price, simplicity and utility.
4) SOLID STATE OR SODIUM based battery architecture. I realize plans may already be in motion, contracts possibly finalized but I feel like Lithium Phosphate is going to be a dead platform by the time these are being produced. This would also significantly increase the viability of the range extender for towing.

I may be dreaming but this is what I'm looking for.

I agree with 1-3. The 4th is going to take a while to materialize, maybe 2030.

Solid state will not be all that close to mainstream by 2027. While it might be showing up in a very limited number of test cars soon, I doubt it will hit production cars at all before 2030, and depending on the ability to get the costs down - it might be significantly longer before it becomes mainstream. Sure better is great - but it has to be economic as well.

Sodium is a big question at the moment. It has some nice promises. But the main goal was to cut costs. Lithium has dropped in price, so now lithium batteries are very close to the price point sodium was going to hit - so a large reason to develop them has disappeared. They might be showing up in use cases where cycle life and safety are primary - but they still lack the density of lithium. Big problem for vehicles.

Solid state is still vaperware - lots of promises but still no real consumer options for the car industry. Sodium batteries are not really an option right now or in the near future (say five years out). If you want details Undecided with Matt Ferrell did a nice YouTube video about the current state of the sodium battery industry (link).

Scout Motors has already locked in to their battery chemistry for the BEV (NMC) and EREV (LFP). They have to spend years designing, integrating, and testing those batteries for the vehicles, so if they want to release in 2027 they had to use something that is available and viable years ago.
