From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. As @robothero said, the Scouts compete with the R1, not the R2, so slightly different market segment. Plus they are still 18 months out and really 2+ years for those that don't already have a reservation. Most people can't wait that long - just us lunatics on this board. It would be better to do a big push once the configurator, pricing, schedules, etc are locked down.
Haha. I read that as being snarky but I know that’s not you. Have to agree 100%. If your need is an EV based suv you might go R2 but if/when you’ve seen the scouts in person there is just something “magical” about them and not having bug eyes is a win no matter what as far as I’m concerned

Over on Reddit I believe we have the first customer delivery. According to him he's not an employee. He's a R1T owner and a day one "minute one probably" reservation holder.
The hype around this vehicle is incredible! I've been trying since yesterday to book a test drive and not one but all 4 of the locations say all the spots are already booked. I'm still going to go this weekend and loiter around the sales center to hopefully squeeze in somewhere lol
Yeah and rightfully so. IMO we're looking at the modern version of the original Ford Explorer in terms of proportions, volume, and bringing in a new set of customers for the brand..heck could even be brand defining. At least here in the Bay Area I could easily see these things being as dominant on the road as the Explorer was back in the day.

Best way to make this happen is to ignore your reservation updates or providing any additional information. I saw an alert that more information was required for my reservation so I updated and I immediately got an email (automated I'm sure) saying I will be contacted soon regarding the purchase of my R2.R2 isnt even available to test drive at my location yet

It's funny, I intentionally waited until day 2 to reserve my Scout. I'm okay seeing some of you get yours first, but I want to make sure the factory has ironed out most wrinkles before mine shows up. From what I understand, once you get the invite to order, it remains active. So theoretically, you get the availability to order, but want to wait, you can. Makes sense since not even all the options are available right now. Judging by the sheer number of "R2 test drive" YT videos and the amount of clickbait, I am quickly reminded why I will never be an influencer.
Have you seen that guy who posts little videos where the first part will be a normal person getting out bed and the second part will be an influencer getting out of bed. They are hysterical and absolutely accurate.
