I'm an exceptionally well-hydrated person, but I can't figure out the desire to carry a 55-gallon drum of my beverage of choice. Maybe it's for exercise??

From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

I think it’s a convenience thing and/or a gotta have the newest trend on beverage container thing. I tend to use the 24 or 32 ounce sized cups which aren’t really that big compared to others but jamming one in a pop out cup holder ring is a disaster waiting to happen
I remember those chintzy pop-outs from my BMW. Definitely a disaster mixing jumbo liquid with twin-turbo coupe.
I don’t know without playing. What I do know is in the hot summer your icy drive through drink is gonna sweat and continuously drip on whatever you have stored below in what looks like an open bin. Hello soggy purse
my biggest issue is throwing my keys in the cupholder and they're just gonna fall right to the floor!

I have a R1 and I dont think the front cup holders are frail or fiddly at all. In fact, they are more than sturdy enough to survive the abuse my wife puts them through with her Stanley all weekend
But I also like that they retract too so we can utilize the center space floor area at times, and they don't get dirty with interior vehicle debris and collect that mystery gunk cupholders seem to attract lol
It's tough to get a large cleared area on short rear windows...
So we keep talking about when a Scout configuration tool will be available. I’m honestly not expecting it for quite a while. Rivian still doesn’t have theirs yet for the R2, but apparently it’s coming soon.
Here’s my question. Does everyone with a reservation get access at the same time? Can everyone place an order at soon as it goes live? How does this ordering process work?

Ok so I have a reservation, (of which I will no longer be using) but apparently the way it is going to work is they are going to give current R1 owners the first access. Unknown yet what this access will be, but the early information is that they will of course all be Launch Performance versions and likely they will be able to just pick exterior color and one of the two wheel options. But for the quickest possible delivery the choice of what has already been made.
According to RivianTrackr the first deliveries are suppose to happen early June. That would undoubtedly suggest that the configurator should be open 6/1.
I really can't wait for the configurator- It's going to drive my purchase timing (I also am a Day 2 reservation holder so who knows how far back in the line I actually am)
Obviously Scout will do it however they want, but here is what Tesla has done.
When the configurator is ready, they will open it up to groups of reservations based on reservation date. They will already know the initial mix of models (trims, variants, etc) that they want/can produce. So they will let those early groups configure. If not enough of those configure the model(s) that Scout wants to build, they will open up the configurator to later reservations. They will keep doing that until they have enough of the model(s) they want to build.
Everyone that configured a different model will sit in a queue in reservation order until the next batch of production is planned (obviously they will use those orders to guide their production planning). This process will repeat until all reservations are fulfilled.
As for the configurator tool itself, after the initial wave of orders and they are confident that the tool works, they will likely open it up to anyone but at the end, instead of "place order" it will say, "make a reservation." That way people can play with the tool and different configs.

I saw it once in person the same month they revealed it in “concept” form at Electrify Expo. From what I’ve seen not much has changed minus some differences like the rear window pop outs, DOT markers, rear wiper.
I’m hoping those are the only kind of differences we see with the Scout because I love her so so much.
We have a Rivian Space very closeby so I'm hoping they have an R2 in there soon!
