Off-topic stuff…

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Always fun buying a fresh gallon of gas for the snow blower in my R1T. Love the looks I get from the attendant in town. "1 gallon plz".
My grill cover is telling me about 18" so far, and it's supposed to keep falling tonight and into tomorrow in the Northeast, as the storm wraps and draws moisture off the ocean. ❄️

Lovely. We landed at 8-9 overall and apparently we have freezing mist coming overnight

We ended up with about 6” on Saturday evening / Sunday morning.
No ice/sleet/freezing rain.
Didn’t need to pull the snow blower out or warm up its batteries.
Didn’t need to hook up the plow to the truck.
And didn’t need to run the house from the truck.
Did need to do a bit of cleaning of the solar panels.
All is good.

oh and @Colton_Scout80 we are getting visits from your fellows once roads are passable again. Our heat pump seems to be on its way out and we are getting quotes for a replacement. I'm beginning to understand how you can afford all those Scouts! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
In the same boat of getting quotes for a heat pump to replace a forced are electric furnace… watching the meter spin really fast was fun once but not anymore…

Well, at most this storm was excuse to sleep in and stay at home a bit more. We had ice on roads, but only in places and not for all that long. We have had about 2.5 days without real heat in my house (Aux does not work, and the heat pumps don't do cold well), but a single space heater has kept us from gong under 66 degrees in our main rooms (my bedroom was cold last night though, I forgot to keep the door open, so little of that heat made it in. Still, extra blanket and it was warmer than the corners of the RV I used to full time in (I got a scrooge sleeping cap for that back corner - had an electric blanket too, but it released the magic white smoke eventually) .

Out doing rounds this morning, some guy stopped me to ask questions about my car, it nothing special, but he liked that it looked “normal” and just had a bunch of questions about Electric cars. I asked if he ever heard of the old scouts, when he said yeah I told him there coming back and told him to give them a look a see what he thinks about the design

Another Scout ambassador in the making 😀

I interact with 50 to 100+ people almost daily now, I can’t imagine the questions if I were to get my scout in the early months, but I’m prepared! I’ve been talking and helping people understand EVs since I drove the Amazon Rivians
It’s a grassroots effort and the more we engage the better sales go and so on and so forth

A friend knows a like to collect hotwheels & Matchbox of EV trucks, they saw a red Silverado EV from Mtachvox and ordered it my house. This is what showed up, and I’m not sure if I should add this to the wall or not

A fun little update to this! I ended up at the dodge dealer this morning, and the guy was there, I didn’t recognize him, but my scout beanie gave me away, he had just tested positive drove a Charger EV and was looking into a lease, our chat yesterday

I know there are people here who would love this as much as I do!

I also ordered a Bert the Turtle sticker, as well as "I survived the Cold War" and Fallout Shelter stickers. Getting a stack ready for the Scout

My son bought us all tickets to go to the movie tomorrow night. I am not a fan of scary movies but I’m going. Apparently it’s based on a video game, involves a lake of blood and he said it will be the movie with the most blood in the history of movies!

An interesting concept.

In a post-apocalyptic future after "The Quiet Rapture" event, a convict explores a blood ocean on a desolate moon using a submarine called the "Iron Lung" to search for missing stars/planets.
