Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
ScoutMotors Engineers picking NACS as the port for Scouts wa sthe right move after seeing Rivians fast change over to NACS at their Posts it was clearly the right choice.
Absolutely, buying a soon-bunk (in the US) J1772/CCS car in 2028+ makes no sense. Even if that wasn't the case, having access to the Tesla Supercharger network alone is enough reason to want it. At least here in California, it's a no brainer...

Pretty sad stuff preying on the people who can least afford the loss of a vehicle and the money that they put forth... The "smart" folks that brought about this scheme deserve a "special" kind of hell... (sorry)
Agree 100%. Sales people for cars and homes are VERY predatory. Prior company I worked for a number of years ago saw new home sales agents MAXING people to their limits. It seriously ate at my conscience. Their mindset was they can eat PBJ for next 20 years so long as they got their commissions. If I haven’t mentioned-I HATE sales commissions-brings out the worst in people.

That’s why I always start at what I want my payment to be and work backwards and include the cost of instance for said house and car. Things start adding up real quick if you don’t.

I remember our second house I wanted slate like the model. New house so the design center said oh that’s natural so expensive $10 a sf. This was in 1998 mind you. I said I can buy that tile for $1 a sf at Home Depot. Had them put the free linoleum in and had it done myself. It’s a racket.

Yes it was... LimeWire was Napsters edgier cousin... pick the wrong torrent and your PC might end up with a trojan horse... Pick the right torrent and you might have snagged Nelli's latest album for free...
I have certain songs that the version of it in my head is some weird Limewire file of a live version someone recorded in someone's basement and remixed. Obviously that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the picture.
