Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I'm so far behind on this thread, and there are so many external links that I have no clue what I'm excited about!
I think it’s that there’s a new electric cover for your Rivian truck bed. Apparently a company has made one that’s solves whatever issue they had that made it difficult.

So are you excited?!?!

Ah, gotcha, thank you! My tonneau is still working flawlessly after 50+ miles. I will say that it might be hard to go back to not having an automatic tonneau. It does spoil you -especially if you use the bed to haul luggage or things that need to be protected from thieves or the elements. Its extremely convenient.

Not being a butthead, but without knowing how many they had listed this may be a nothing burger.
Knowing Lucid I'd bet it's a lack of supply vs overwhelming demand. Having seen one on the road I honestly can't imagine any demand for something as boring looking as that. I'm sure it drives great and has great specs, but it looks like a generic traffic car from a video game.

DAMN IT. I got excited for a minute until I read top models. I can barely afford an entry model even if I wait a few years after the Scout (and even then I’m realistically looking at an 8-10 year old model) but what a way to kick a man after getting him excited. 😀

Oh you only live once! You have all this time to wait for the Scout. Wouldn’t it be fun to post your Porsche adventures to keep us entertained on here while we wait.

I really want a 911 Targa, always wanted one since I was young. I see those start from $175,200 so I think I won't be getting a new one any time soon either!

My husband told me this weekend the only thing that would get him to trade in his Supra is a 2 seater with a Targa roof. If Honda ever brought back the Del Sol he would buy one in a minute. He loved that car.

Forget the new stuff, used or classic is where it's at. Enjoy one of the greats at a more affordable price and enjoy the fact it's holding or increasing in value.
I know a few guys that wheel the crap out of the Cayennes

They are pretty cheap used, and when you don’t pay much it doesn’t hurt to get a few whiskey dents

I’d love to find a del sol and fix it up. They were awesome and my wife and I both love them so that I could get OK’d 😀
