BeerParty goes to Boston 2026-10-16

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Oh wow, I reeeeeally like the color of the Terra. I didn’t get to see it during last night’s reconnaissance mission. That’s still silo green, yes? No? Whatever it is, it’s a nice color in cloudy daylight. Hoping to get a peek tomorrow if it’s not total effing mayhem, but I am fixed on going over the Scout Mountainside HQ for a free thing. Thanks for sharing your pictures!
I’d like to see silo on the traveler

In NC when we were getting dinner we ended up seated next to an exterior lighting engineer. He wouldn’t give any hints, just stated we will be very happy. I believe him.
Said the same to us. Little more discussion but nothing to give away. In fact he said he worries talking because he’s so deep into it and will ramble about but knows he can’t. So he changed the subject 🤣

I'm hoping that means ease of replacement and relatively inexpensive. I don't expect halogen bulb prices, but I sure don't want to be locked into several thousand-dollar headlights if the DRLs go out.

For me, “very happy” would mean “I can use my head/tail lights to communicate why my hazards are on, like displaying an exploded tire or a dead battery”

(Has anyone else ever wished that they could do that, particularly when some numbskull is blasting their horn at you after you’ve just blown out a tire and have forgotten that they have the ability to go around an obstacle, not only straight through? I’ve wished it a couple of times)

That would be cool. Honda previewed something (think it was honda) that front grill could convey messages via LEDs

New thread to drop in some of the pictures I took in the Boston event on October 16, 2026.

Since this was the Head Of the Charles Regatta in Boston, I will start with a picture of the event itself.

These are great, thanks! I went on Sunday - glorious weather. I think Scout did a GREAT job - and, as I have been reserved since Day 1, I was sooo happy to finally get to see them in person:). It was definitely worth the walk to the finish line at Eliot St Bridge to see the Mountainside closer on ground level. And the interior on that one is GORGEOUS. 👏👏. In the end, it was great to see - easily the coolest vendor attraction at the event, and mainly it left my wife and I to talk endlessly about which model and which options. 😊

It’s so fun that more of us have gotten to see them! So what did you all come to a consensus on?

One thing I am sure about is that I don't want a matte finish. The weather was cloudy, so not the best conditions, but the glossy just looked better to me on the curves of hood and fenders. I think the design team nailed the shapes.

Plus it sounds like matte paint is a pain to take care of. I’m not interested. They have matte PPF if anyone insists on making their color matte.

YES!!! This is my dream. I want to be able to say “the middle finger was for you, blue BMW convertible” but do it really succinctly and quickly.
Second this because it was a blue bmw that soaked me with that roadside puddle. Electronic middle finger would be less jail time than hucking a rock through his back windshield, right? Asking for a friend of course.

Rats! I really wanted matte but many have mentioned on here how hard it is to care for. If that's the case, I'm out.
I looked at a matte paint Ioniq 5. It came with a “paint care kit”. You can’t just wash it like any other regular paint is my understanding. And forget about buffing out a scratch. That’s not happening. You would just have a shiny spot on your matte car.
