Scout's comin' to Cambridge...Wicked pissah!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Have you seen where they plan to have the vehicles. Most likely coming in from Alewife, so trying to figure best T stop. Where did you see this map?
Alewife makes sense, actually! It looks like you can walk from Harvard Square, so wear your comfy sneaks. The map is the map linked to from the event listing here for Head of the Charles:
I dunno if you got the e-mail that went out, but it does confirm that this is at Riverbend Park, so my sleuthin’ was on the money.

We aren’t really 100% sure. There’s speculation that that could be how many locations in that area. I mean we are all just guessing at this point.

Welcome, if I haven’t already welcomed you.
Ok, interesting! I’m glad to see there is at least some sort of information out there about potential physical sites. That’s one thing I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. Also, thanks for all the welcomes! I’m a 2025 reservation holder for the Traveler Harvester. I can’t wait to see these trucks in person!

Seeing the concept Scouts in person is absolutely worth your time! Meeting the team even more so…
Can’t wait for the next time I get to see them!

I can’t imagine! I’ve been trying to make it to an event, but I haven’t had the chance to do so. I’m hoping they start to pop up around the midwest region where it might be easier to make the trip.

Honestly best thing to do is check here frequently. For example when I saw them last year in December it was with 2 days notice. They had an event at that hotel that the Traveler was going to be at so they had it on display that afternoon and I was able to make it up there. So you just never know when something might pop up.

Just saw the email, looks good. Thanks for the tip to check. Maybe I will see you there on the 16th.

True. I’ve been much better at being present on the forum! It’s been super helpful

Scout originally said that at launch, they plan to have 25 service centers in 16 major markets. They also said that 80% of each space will be dedicated to service and the other 20% dedicated to an experience center (like merch and stuff I'd guess). Finally, they said they hope to have 100 service centers by 2032.

I think all of us are hoping that some of these cities we see here are in the first wave so that it's easier to get service when we need it. I think most of us who are interested in getting the first wave of Scouts that go up for sale understand there are going to be glitches, etc. For me, I'd like to see them in the large markets they think they do well in. Selfishly, I hope that includes Minneapolis. :sneaky:

Scout is going to get some serious eye balls in BOS. 400,000 spectators on the banks of the Mighty Chuck for the Head of the Charles Regatta + 11,000 athletes. Economically, the Regatta is expected to generate $54-$88MM to the City. I would expect that Scout will see a big bump in reservations after the event - particularly since BOS also has a huge Rivian footprint.

And I’m headed into the belly of the beast-what was I thinking 🤣

Do you think the crowds will be larger on Friday or Saturday & Sunday? Friday's races are only in the morning (start times are 7:30am to 10:30am) so I am hoping the crowds will be smaller. I even took the day off so I could go in on Friday and avoid the crowds.

Now that I think about it, I should get a map so I know where I am going!

Jamie started an official thread for this event.

It includes times that will be on display.

Thanks for that link. I would have found it eventually, but... :D

They are only on display until noon on Friday, I guess I'll have to plan to get their early. And then I get to try the food stalls. There better should be some really great food stalls!
