Oh that’s awesome.Ionna has both CCS1 and NACS plugs at every charger. This is the right way to do any new public charging station.

More good info to add to my list. Thanks.Ionna has both CCS1 and NACS plugs at every charger. This is the right way to do any new public charging station.
I have to change my statement. I think I misread Ionna’s page.I'll check them out tomorrow when I stop for coffee and report back![]()
What you’ll see at IONNA
We know plugs might be confusing at first glance, so we’ve made it simple:
- Both CCS and NACS connectors are available at every IONNA site.
- Plenty of signage along each bay to guide you as you pull up. Our signature ‘top hats’ overhead make it even easier to spot where to plug in.
- Color coding to guide you:
- Blue for CCS
- Orange for NACS
I think it's probably a mixture of all of them, and if they can get a good user experience for the same or lower price then people will use that instead. I mainly use Tesla superchargers (I own a Tesla) since I can just plug in and start charging without doing anything, but if Ionna can get the same plug and charge ability and price is similar then I might look at them if a station is around when I'm taking a road trip. It could also be if certain manufacturers give a credit towards a specific charging brand, or maybe in the future (or even today for all I know) they will be tied to grocery store rewards like gas is, where you can get a $0.10 discount for charging like you do with gas rewards.I'm curious about the strategy here (and again, I'm completely ignorant about the charging thing). I understand that NACS is being adopted universally in the US so its interesting to me that more stations would be added at a location that already has a dozen (and I've never seen more than 3 or 4 in use).
A few thoughts going through my mind on it...
- IONNA trying to get a slice of the pie while it's still available.
- Tesla not being open to all vehicles allows IONNA to slide in and bridge the gap.
- CCS isn't going to just disappear, so vehicles equipped with that will still need somewhere to charge.
There’s a myth that there are more NACS plugs out there than CCS1. This is based on the fact that T-branded plugs are the largest single brand. But the combined number of CCS1 plugs out there is far, far greater than the number of T plugs.I'm curious about the strategy here (and again, I'm completely ignorant about the charging thing). I love your post and I think it helps highlight how confusing charging is as someone from the outside looking in, and I'm on the curious/want to learn side of the outside, I can't imagine how overwhelmed someone else would be.
Ugh paywall.
Aileen! Oh I’m so glad you read my post. I so wanted to make sure you and the team get your flowers! Assuming our state legislators don’t triple fees for EV but even so it still saves money. Is it a Wawa near you or just the Philly area? Are they doing a bunch? Also reminding myself that over a 5 year period I'd expect to spend about $15k on gas assuming prices stayed the same (lol), so I'm happy to flex a bit on the upfront of cost on the Scout since I know I'll be making it back by not having to fill up anymore.

Thanks for joining us and taking the time to post—we really appreciate it. You and the SM team have absolutely nailed the exterior colors so far. The modern touch with Tahitian Red during the Traveler reveal was especially well done and really hit home. I may be biased, but it feels like a great modern interpretation of what I currently have on my ’79 Scout II.Hello- I just wanted to come in here and thank you for the shout out. Just worth pointing out you got aAileen! Oh I’m so glad you read my post. I so wanted to make sure you and the team get your flowers! Your work is truly a reflection of how much you care about your job and this community.
What you all have done with the concepts so far is just stunning. Having seen them in person twice I can truly say pictures don’t do them justice. There are so many details. I know they are body on frame, lockers, etc, which great but for me it starts with the aesthetics and you are nailing it every time.
So good to know you and the team are on here reading our posts.
I can’t wait to see what you all have in store for us next and if you need any inspiration, I took the pictures my husband took at Nats and had Gemini make the Traveler PBY (pale butter yellow). It’s beautiful in this color, if I do say so myself.
Hey guys, it’s Aileen!!!

I did notice that.Just worth pointing out you got afrom Aileen.
With that said, @aileen.barraza, would love to hear your thoughts on what's been posted in the 70+ pages of the Scout Color Poll thread. IMO Cyure's Pale Butter Yellow is a slam dunk, would love to know if there are any other colors posted that have caught your attention?
ThanksLooking at their map this looks like its the only one in our area at this point. I don't know if others are going online (most Wawas around here have added Tesla chargers within the past ~year, but Wawas also multiply like rabbits in the philly burbs so who knows whats planned for the new stores), but I did find this:

Official welcome to our department! I think many of us think of ourselves as ambassadors and an extension of the SM family and knowing you took the time to tell us you watch from the dark it means a lot. At least to me and surely many others. It is an amazing conceptual approach as a company to crowd source and learn first hand from the fans and diehard Scout fans. That said can I request the clay leather and a dark blue denim with off white stitching. I don’t think Aileen realizes the Pandoras Box that has opened up.Official welcome to our department! That said can I request the clay leather and a dark blue denim with off white stitching. Looking forward to seeing that in the next redo. And dark navy blue plaid floor mats. Preferably with the perfect shade of blue (which I don’t know what that is until I see it-but that’s the fun and joy of designing is understanding what our brains desire). Or the moist banana color since @cyure stole my color and claimed it for herself
. Or a great Smokey lavender exterior but then I’ll need an amazing off white and aubergine interior with brushed bronze metal with some dark natural oil finished walnut or a dark stained compressed cork accent. Just sayin’
