From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. I hope Jamie is prepared for a lot of people asking if the revamped concepts are production models.
Well, we care but…Hmmmm-hadn’t thought about the perspective that you guys don’t care if I get beat to death with my own limb.
I’ll probably lose a finger for this but…. I do it for the fans.
My impression of the industry is that sometimes (often?) the production models are mostly done first, later tarted-up for initial public concept, and then perhaps refined a bit after feedback. For example, XC90 SPA1 for MY16 was clearly locked before Volvo's 2013-14 concepts; XC60 came later and had much more resemblance to the concepts.
Doubt we'll see production spec until maybe a year before production start - so perhaps reveal in fall 2026, production start fall 2027 for MY28? Just speculation.
Recently became a bit concerned about fitting a Traveler (80" wide) in my garage next to our Grand Highlander (78") - concept is wider than our Sienna minivan (also 78") which now lives on the street. XC90 P2 (75") fits in there a bit better.

The revamp of the models are unfortunately not reflective of the production models. There are certain changes in the production models that would be too costly to show in these models. But.... The revamp of these models are SUPER cool. The design team came up with some great add ons to include in these models. I am actually going to see the traveler in an hour.

. At least be kind and report back that they are amazing and that the butter yellow on the traveler looks amazing! I’ll be able to sleep better at night knowing this
