What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Would like a trim that has
-pleather/vinyl seating for easy cleaning (pets) but the shoulder bolsters could be a retro patterned fabric.
-a floor that is carpet free, perhaps some sort of rubber matting for easy cleaning
-no fabric on the backs of the seats to keep pet hair from sticking
-heated steering wheel and heated seats
-remote lockers front and rear coupled with the stock 33” A/T tires.
-8 way power driver and passenger front seats
-standard center console with option to choose the bench seat
-steel roof as standard with the glass and cabana as options

Would like option to add cooled seats to the above proposed trim only if they’re truly cooled seats and not just ventilated with under seat fans.

Would like the option to add rock sliders and front winch to the trim as stand alone options.

Hopeful that the UI and tech shown currently in the prototypes will be the same throughout all available trims at time of launch.
Exactly this for me, but with 37s (since they’ve opened that Pandora’s Box) and a bench seat.

I’d add adaptive cruise and lane keeping, don’t care about “self-driving” along with a front camera as well.

how about towing cameras. Make sure the cameras can operate at speed - there are times I would LOVE to look at my trailer in the camera (as a trailer is generally mostly in my blind spot while towing. Maybe cameras on the outer edges of the side view mirrors - not quite as good as towing mirrors, but it would give you a little wider field of view. Reasonably priced wireless (or even wired) trailer camera connection to see out of the back of the trailer - and as a bonus, make it on a quick release bracket so it can be moved trailer to trailer, maybe make the bracket so it can connect to the license plate holder.

I tow a fairly large amount. While a lot of that is heavy trailers, which I will rarely want to do with the Scout, by mileage - I probably tow a jetski and lawn mower trailer more miles. Those are practically invisible behind my truck. Yesterday, was towing a kayak on a jetski trailer - I could just barely see the corner of one of the fenders - could not see the kayak at all. I would love to be able to see if a lawn mower or kayak was stable on the trailer occasionally. Had an outboard in the bed of my truck - it was also invisible (did not realize it had shifted at a stop sign till I stopped - was lucky I did not screw it up.

I’m sure the level 2+ autonomy will be standard as part of standard safety package to get max safety rating
