The angle of the photo on the Ford site it was blocked by the touchscreen. Thanks.Yes. It’s on the dash behind the steering wheel. It’s difficult to see when looking straight-on.

At least on Ford it says Power Start/Stop vs Engine Start/Stop on the ICE F-150.Yes. It’s on the dash behind the steering wheel. It’s difficult to see when looking straight-on.
Nice catch. Subtle but effective. At least on Ford it says Power Start/Stop vs Engine Start/Stop on the ICE F-150.
My hesitation with phone is it becomes app based and after the problems with our/my daughters Bronco we had-the app created problems they couldn’t solve so then suddenly she was back to the fob. I just know I’ve never had an issue with a key fob but I have with phone keys so for me I don’t mind options but I don’t want to have to rely on a phone for entryI don’t want it to lock when I walk away while I’m using it to work, though. I want to be able to go, grab a fence post, come back, set the jackhammer, drive it into the ground, go set another fence post 20 feet away, drive it, etc. And I want to bring my phone with me so I can listen to my audiobook. And I don’t want to deal with waiting for the truck to power cycle each time I need to move it.
Or I want to operate a water pump or a power washer on an extension cord 50 feet from the truck without worrying about it shutting off, locking, and disabling the power in the bed.
There are dozens of scenarios where I want to have my phone/key with me away from the truck and still want the truck to stay on, and the outlets to remain powered.
That’s where mine is on the Accord and you have to lean or stab at it so that’s why I like it on the steering wheelYes. It’s on the dash behind the steering wheel. It’s difficult to see when looking straight-on.

If everything is app based what do you do for a valet? My hesitation with phone is it becomes app based and after the problems with our/my daughters Bronco we had-the app created problems they couldn’t solve so then suddenly she was back to the fob. I don’t know but I’m not special enough for valet. I guess some of us are more grey poupon than others on this forumIf everything is app based what do you do for a valet?
Your post just gave me fond memories of a 4-speed shifter on the floor. It really sucked when the 3rd gearing was worn out and I had to hold it in gear for 3rd which made it challenging to hold the coffee cup while steering too, but still a fond memoryI would suggest definitely put the gear shifter in the middle of the vehicle. Or at least have an option for the console shifter. I personally like these shifters better than the little electronic steering wheel mounted shifter. Give people the option to have either. If Scout is about choice and personalization then give it to the consumer. I should not be forced to have the same type of shifter that the Rivians do.

My Tesla has a keycard (credit card size) that you can keep in your wallet. You can give that to a valet and put the car in valet mode to limit speed and access to certain things (glovebox etc.). You can use the card instead of the phone if you want as well.If everything is app based what do you do for a valet?
Ford has done a poor job of PAAK, but I wouldn’t use any vehicle with it because I don’t want my phone to be the key to my vehicles. I don’t think everything needs to be cloud-based or phone-centered. A key fob is great. I can loan it out; I can leave it in my purse or my pocket; I can leave it in the truck if I need to.My hesitation with phone is it becomes app based and after the problems with our/my daughters Bronco we had-the app created problems they couldn’t solve so then suddenly she was back to the fob. When I was using Phone As A Key with my Lincoln If I was out working in the garage with my phone in my pocket the Car and Phone were yacking to each other so much it would kill my Phone battery. I got rid of PAAK.My hesitation with phone is it becomes app based and after the problems with our/my daughters Bronco we had-the app created problems they couldn’t solve so then suddenly she was back to the fob. Terra Yes. Traveler if you look at how the two piece Lift & tail gates combination works doesn't look possible.rear window that rolls down? apologies if this has been discussed before.
I really do t know with an app. Hoping someone here can speak to itI know you are teasing but seriously even hospitals have valet parking now.
University of Chicago, where my specialists are, have valet parking. The hospital where my son works here in town has valet parking. There’s valet in unexpected places.
The Terra will have one. Thats been confirmedrear window that rolls down? apologies if this has been discussed before.
If basic functionality required an app, that’d be a dealbreaker for me. It’s fine for stuff I don’t really need, or things that make sense like remote monitoring or turning on hvac from afar, but if I have to have a working app just to use it, that’s just asking for trouble. But I’m sure @Jamie@ScoutMotors wouldn’t let us down like thatMy hesitation with phone is it becomes app based and after the problems with our/my daughters Bronco we had-the app created problems they couldn’t solve so then suddenly she was back to the fob. I’d be surprised if it was necessary. Even my Tesla you can use without the app if you want, the app just enhances it (remote climate control, sentry viewing, vent windows, send directions to navigation in advance, etc.)If basic functionality required an app, that’d be a dealbreaker for me.
