What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
One of my minor worries with accessories from Scout and with the aftermarket not being "Plug-n-Play". 100% agree about the cargo cover being an option for those that want/need it. The major thing I didn't like about the Acura cargo cover is it is almost impossible to store inside the MDX if you need the 3rd row up (have to plan ahead and take it out).

Just would like the Scout to have the built-in design for accessories to be more Plug-n-Play without having to drill holes, cause permanent damage if removed, or voids a warranty. This would include different roof racks, Starlink/5G/XM systems, 360 degree AUX lights, tow winch, side steps, etc...
Yeah-that box tube was a hassle as you noted. And to @cyure ’s point we had a Bronco and was amazed at how much after market accessories were available and the majority of items we bought all connected with existing bolts in the Bronco or with the accessory holes so if SM paid attention-and I’m sure they have, it should be very flexible

I can’t believe they aren’t planning on that. Especially since they have mentioned their own accessories shop will be putting on things like bumpers etc. There will be money for Scout as well if they have easily swappable bumpers and racks, etc.

I don’t know where to put this. This seems like as good a place as any. I was behind a Honda Passport Trailsport yesterday and I notice the tow hitch. Instead of just the little black square plug they had the fox head that was outlined in orange.

It got me thinking, I don’t think we have seen where the tow hitch will be. On the Honda it was in line with the bottom of that rear skid plate so the skid plate wasn’t straight across. If that makes sense. I didn’t like it. Im hoping it’s below on the Scout and doesn’t interrupt the skid plate.

Also it would fun if we instead of just a square plug they had ones with the Scout logo on it in the blue or the orange.

What is the "Fox head"?
Do you mean a FOX racing hitch cover?
What do you to tow?

Thats exactly it!

Nothing, but here’s my next question. Will they all come with a tow hitch or will that only be included in a tow package?
Towing capacity varies by configuration.
Final towing and payload numbers for all models and configurations of the vehicles will be released closer to production, which is targeted to begin in 2027.

Patience!!! LOL

Hmm, I've seen the trailer hitch somewhere... Gotta figure out where I saw it, but it was just below the bottom of the rear bumper off the main rear cross-member.

I might have to add an hitch extension for my StowAway2 Max swing out carrier or Quik-R-Stuff Mach2 hitch bike rack with the Scout spare tire kit?
