What are you driving until release?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
new here, I'm on a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness - 2 more years of payment. I'm told myself not yet an EV believer, but I test drive the new Model Y this past weekend and I'm sold with its Technology and option, we ended up leasing it for 3 years to replace our 11-year-old Infiniti QX60, hopefully our $60 gas filled up every week will reduce with the new Model Y.

Welcome to the community!

Fellow Wrangler owner here. I have been meaning to go test drive one with that roof you have. That’s the closest thing to the cabana top that the Scout has as an option.

I have a couple questions. How’s the noise with that top closed and open? Are you going to get your Scout with the cabana top? If not which top are you switching to? Anything else that’s helpful to know about living with a vehicle with that kind of roof?

Thanks!!
I’ll second that request as I really want the cabana top

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing a post. Full EV will be old hat to you until you get your Scout and I bet you’ll be ready for that to be full EV as well

Remember the built in search on the forums is a great place to start getting answers to your many questions. 😀

Daily driving a 2015 F150. It's getting to the point of needing the 100k service stuff though. I'm not gonna make it another year without shelling out for at least some major maintenance. Fingers crossed there are no big issues with either the truck or the factory building it's replacement.

Interesting to me how many people are signing short term leases until these are available, as well as how many folks aren't really EV believers but have placed orders for a Scout. Just tells me how much the existing EV builders are missing the mark. Gas generator is such a simple add, but to me, it's pretty vital if you're taking a vehicle off road. Much more piece of mind that I won't be stuck looking for a charger that's operational. Still running with '24 Land Cruiser, which remains a great vehicle, but really looking forward to driving a Scout.
