What are you driving until release?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Interesting to me how many people are signing short term leases until these are available, as well as how many folks aren't really EV believers but have placed orders for a Scout. Just tells me how much the existing EV builders are missing the mark. Gas generator is such a simple add, but to me, it's pretty vital if you're taking a vehicle off road. Much more piece of mind that I won't be stuck looking for a charger that's operational. Still running with '24 Land Cruiser, which remains a great vehicle, but really looking forward to driving a Scout.
So is the Scout going to replace your ‘24 Land Cruiser?

There’s quite a few of us on here crossing our fingers our vehicles last until our Scout arrives.

I’m lucky in that even though my Wrangler is 12, I have the MOPAR lifetime warranty. They don’t sell that warranty anymore. Easy to understand why. My repairs are a $100 deductible as long as I own her. So I’m going from a 2013 Wrangler to my Scout. I haven’t decided BEV or EREV yet but either way I feel like I’m going from a flip phone to an iPhone.

I’m anxious for the first test videos that show what a capable BEV SUV can do and then see how many people will convert to all BEV. There is a great opportunity for SM to blanket social media with these demos and prove to people that a BEV will easily meet the needs of probably 50% or more of the Harvester reservation holders and folks like @SpaceEVDriver documenting their experiences only helps the education of those of us who are brand new to BEV’s.

I find many of those same thoughts fascinating. I am fully on board with EV. But if Harvester brings more people to Scout I think that’s great. I really hope it doesn’t turn into an us versus them thing.

I have had several Land Cruisers, Toyota 4x4s, and daily a GX470. The Scout will be my first EV.

I think a lot of guys from the Toyota off-roading community will be on board after they see what the Scouts are capable of. Especially the overland folks with Tundras and Land Cruisers.

I can see an easier transition to EVs by Toyota buyers. It’s the big jeeps,Bronco and Dodge crew that I believe will be difficult to convince. But just my take on things

I'm currently driving a 22 GMC Sierra 1500 w/3.0L diesel engine. The plan is to transfer ownership to my son once my Terra is ready for delivery. He should be 16 by the time Scout starts delivering

Thanks for the welcome. Excited for this new Scout. I miss having a bigger rig. Had the cool 2007 FJ in my avatar and miss that look and feel. And love the EV experience with the EV6. Can’t wait to combine them both.
I’m very excited as well. I can’t wait!

The FJ is another vehicle I wish would come back. That would be fun to see.

Having seen the Scouts in person at Nats I can confirm they are a bigger rig. I highly recommend seeing them when you can. A great follow is @Jamie@ScoutMotors he keeps us updated from the manufacturer side of things.

The FJ was awesome. Had 35” tires. Icon lift. Etc. etc. not sure why I ever sold that. This past week I rented a new Rubicon in Sedona AZ and ran the Broken Arrow trail. Forgot how much fun rock crawling can be. These next 2-3 years are going to be a hard wait.
