Welcome and Introductions!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Just made my reservation and can't wait!

Grew up hanging out in my grandfather's International Dealership and learned to drive (at age 7) in the Scout they used as a shop vehicle!
Purely a nostalgia purchase for me!
Welcome aboard! That's a cool story. I'm a second generation owner of a tractor and equipment dealership. We had IH in the 80s and that is what I grew up on.

Welcome! I'm in the same camp. Nostalgia purchase, mostly, though for me, my current Tundra will be approaching 10 years old when the Scouts arrive, so it will be time for a new vehicle anyway.

Welcome! Out of curiosity, was your grandfather's International Dealership a car dealership or primarily an International tractor dealership? When my dad bought his Scout in the 60's, the locals bought their Scouts from a tractor supply, Boggs Tractor Supply. There was not a sales lot (mostly just a barn-like building). He just placed an order with the options he wanted. Of course by the time I bought mine in 1979, it was an International car dealership.

It was a farm implement/tractor shop. He sold very few Scouts.
I went from moving farm equipment around with an old Farmall Super M tractor so I could mow the grass, to running around in that old Scout!

IMO, it was kind of like how Harley Davidson started out: "We're going to sell you our version of a Jeep that you can probably work on yourself later."

I feel late to the game. I reserved a Traveler Harvester and I hope the reservation number doesn’t indicate my place in line.
We are currently in Oregon and retiring to AZ next year. Already have visions of how this new addition will fit into our plans.
I currently drive a 2017 BMW i3 REX and have been trying to decide what to replace with as we approach the end of the 10 year battery warranty. I had been really discouraged by the lack of Range Extender options on the market and then the campaign for Scout landed in my feed.
A little research and my deposit was paid.

Welcome to the community! It was stated somewhere, don’t ask me where, that the reservation numbers were auto generated and did not indicate a “place in line”. The numbers are just random is my understanding.

I have also reserved the Traveler with the Harvester. Can’t wait!

Welcome again.

Welcome to the forum. As others have said, follow along with Jamie and we always say take advantage of the search button as it will provide oodles of background info to probably anything you can think of. But eventually you’ll realize you have a new, genius idea that nobody has thought of in over two years 😀
Again-welcome to the scout family!
