Welcome and Introductions!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Hello everyone! Made my reservation (Terra, Harvester) a while back. I love the conversations and SM inclusion on this forum, so here I am. I am in NE Iowa. Have 2 EVs right now, had a cybertruck reservation. Love the utility, wifey can't get over the look, so Terra seems equally useful, maybe plus a little with the Harvester option. And the Cybertruck coming in $30k higher didn't help. Can't wait for 2027!
Welcome Home!

Welcome Jamie, we're practically neighbors as I reside about 50miles west of Baltimore. Thank you for your service. You'll find a lot of great content here using the search feature over the last two years since the journey started that includes; news articles, color polls, accessories wants, media content, potato chip recommendations, and much much more. Happy to have you here, you'll soon discover Scout Motors employees will often post within these forums which is unlike any other car manufacturer.

Hello! I’m Jamie in Northern Virginia and just put a deposit down on a Scout Terra. Really looking forward to this truck, it’s my belated Army retirement gift to myself. Can’t wait for them to go into production, I’m looking forward to perusing the forums!
Welcome Jamie. Jamie@ScoutMotors is a good follow as he posts often with updates from Scout Motors. And it will be easy for you to remember his name! What a wonderful retirement gift to celebrate with. Thank you for your service.

Now-give us your favorite nickname because unfortunately there can be only one Jamie (like the Highlander). @Jamie@ScoutMotors is the bomb-diggity and the source-the end all be all for this forum. You can certainly keep your name as you are Electro21 but couldn’t help myself.

Just reserved my Traveler Harvester and couldn’t be more excited!!! I have fond memories of my dad driving his Scout when he worked in the oil fields when I was a kid, when I saw the Scout was coming back I was instantly nostalgic. I live in Charleston, SC, so I also love the fact that it’ll be built locally. I’m hoping the price point will remain where it’s at, if it’s keeps creeping up that’ll be come an issue for me.

Welcome. @LastDayScout is your neighbor. Check things out and as we offer to new members-the search button will be a great resource to find info and see what’s been said about anything you might be interested in. Almost 2-1/2 years of brain dumps. Enjoy the forum and glad to hear your story is similar to many of ours and even if it wasn’t we are happy to have you along for the ride!

Welcome to the forum!

When you get a chance, check out the threads about the SC legislature direct to consumer sales bill. Your legislators need to hear from as many of their constituents as possible to convince them to change the law in SC to allow DTC auto sales, which is how Scout plans to sell.

I’ve been following along and have already contacted a few legislators! I’m hopeful and optimistic it’ll get updated to allow DTC.
