  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
So prob no way to guesstimate which part of 2028+ based on when you reserved huh. By no means in a rush, but love backwards planning.
Way too early to even guess. Plus, even if you knew your exact "place" in line, we have no idea what Scout will product and when. They have said they will start with Harvesters. How many of each model will they do before BEVs? After that will they batch by type of roof, type of wheel, interior color, bench seat vs buckets, etc? We also don't know if there will be performance and non-performances models that may have different battery packs, different trim levels and which will be produced first and on and on.

I feel for the folks that are on a lease that ends at a certain time. This process will undoubtedly cause you stress as your lease expiration nears. But if you own your car, just take deep breaths and enjoy the ride.

Not really in a rush personally, current vehicle will be paid off by then and I am keeping it as a spare. Just thinking about down payment etc. It's going to be here sooner than we think. 2026 is almost halfway done already.

Realized that myself last night that theoretically we are 18 months away from that isn’t long at all

I'm anticipating the Scout base price will be higher at the time of delivery. I'm hoping the ones that have a reservation will get a "loyalty discount" and "first dibs" once production starts. I'm just torn between purchase or just leasing a 1st model year of an all new vehicle (lease the first 3 years; then, purchase a +2030 model once the bugs are worked out).

Just my opinion, but I think they will have a Scout at that price we keep hearing. Right abound $60, but that will be the start of a base model and then it will go up from there.

I hope Scout doesn't "nickel/dime" us on upgrades that can cost $10,000-$25,000 if you check too many boxes OR they put together expensive model trim levels if you want/need certain features. A lot of folks had to pay and extra $7500 for an Advance MDX over the tech model if they wanted 360 degree camera, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats.

À la carte options has been a big request on here. Exactly what you are saying. I hate it so much when you are building a car online and you select one thing and you have to change everything.

Or "that's only available in the Executive Package"

Looking back over old vehicle build sheets just pisses me off nowadays. Orders are done electronically. Vehicle builds and supply lines are controlled electronically. If they can have a Terra BEV on the line, followed by a Harvester EREV, there's no reason they can't install a bench seat without installing a completely-unrelated sunroof. The computers and supply chain can put the right parts in the right order for assembly without any more hassle, so stop trying to screw the customer by forcing packages on us. Just because I want heated seats doesn't mean I want ski storage bags or headlight washers! Just because I want lockers doesn't mean I want a winch and skid plates. Done ranting, for now. This is a good chance for Scout to break the mold.
