Okay is it laser engraved or burned in like a branding iron on wood?We give one of those to every new homeowner-they get the image of their specific front elevation of their home-they look very cool

I’m sure ours are laser because the detail and line weight is amazing. Ours are done on bamboo boards too if I’m recalling correctlyOkay is it laser engraved or burned in like a branding iron on wood?
One of the reasons I hope the Scout badges in the seats seen in the concepts is optional at all trim and package levels. I would have to tear them out on day one even in northern Arizona.I lived in Phoenix during high school, but moved in only 2 days before school started, from the Midwest.
Adjusting to the heat was interesting. And one of the first things we learned… was that the metal part of seat belts were the devil. You’d legitimately get burned if you accidentally touched one wrong.
(Also, this is a place where you can legitimately cook cookies in your car, and a place where I saw oven mitts used on the regular to touch the steering wheel. So heat was an issue there).
So please, no exposed badging, especially where it might get touched.
Also, glare is the worst.
I get why, but I love them. One of the reasons I hope the Scout badges in the seats seen in the concepts is optional at all trim and package levels. I would have to tear them out on day one even in northern Arizona.
That would be cool, your Scout would be able to tell its own story (with owner permission to turn on/off location tracking) so it would “unlock” badges at certain mileages or when you visit specific places.I almost like the idea of it being on the UX and stays with you while you own it but builds as a timeline if you sell it. Could also be set up to display electronic badges as accomplishments, like visiting a national park, doing the factory delivery experience or going to a national Scout event ?
Yikes… I have a strict rule in my truck, armrests are for arms, not sunglasses, drinks, or the occasional ketchup packet for your fries. Metal plaques would be a hard no!Ram thought it would be a great idea to put a badge on the center arm rest. When the sun has been hitting this metal plaque for a while, it’s as hot as the surface of the sun, and feels great on the arm. As somebody who has been burned /branded by this brilliant idea, I beg Scout (and other manufacturers) to not do this!

Yep, they do the same here in Texas, nothing like catching the back of your arm on a seatbelt buckle that’s 900° and burns off the hair when it gets you.I lived in Phoenix during high school, but moved in only 2 days before school started, from the Midwest.

Exactly. And someday someone see everything their “new to them” Scout did and/or visited. And as you eluded to with owner permission it would be cool if this forum added threads for various locations/accomplishments and once you get the digital badge you get invited to that thread to chat with other owners who accomplished same thing. And maybe they aren’t all off-road actions but regional spots just to see who travels the most in their Scouts. And I will say, add Canadian locations as well because I need more incentives to see more of Canada. Loved the areas I’ve already been to.That would be cool, your Scout would be able to tell its own story (with owner permission to turn on/off location tracking) so it would “unlock” badges at certain mileages or when you visit specific places.
Thus they should be optional for the people who love them. I think they’re pretty to look at, but couldn’t have them in my vehicle.I get why, but I love them.
This is also a very cool idea, regardless of the ID plates. It's like an odometer on steroids. Obviously there'd need to be considerations for privacy, but could definitely be made generic enough that you wouldn't have to worry about transferring ownership (waaay in the future, hahaha).I almost like the idea of it being on the UX and stays with you while you own it but builds as a timeline if you sell it.
