OS Handle

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Watching reveal again tonight and realized the passenger grab bar is on the a-pillar. It’s a little thing but so glad it’s there. Those who have Broncos (I did) know their placement was an awkward location. Life’s about the little things and this is a great one. Looks to be in both traveler and terra.
Do wonder why there isn’t one on the drivers side?

Oh shit, you're right!

That's the same location as my Toyota, except that I have one on the driver's side as well. They're really helpful for pulling yourself up into a lifted vehicle, and very handy for the passenger to stabilize themselves off road, but they're too far away to be useful on a twisty mountain road. I'd really like to see Scout add one to the driver's side so I'm not pulling my short self up into the vehicle by the steering wheel.

Because you have a steering wheel and an a-pillar handle would affect your view?

My LR's Jesus Handles are on the ceiling, closer to His glory.

Other SUV’s offer them at the driver side. They really don’t block that much based on there height and location. I used steering wheel in Bronco but over time that tugging can effect the rigidity if the steering wheel

I try to avoid yanking on the steering wheel. I use the paracord grab handle on my Wrangler. So having something on the driver side would be appreciated.

What did they make the steering wheel out of? Balsa wood and rubber cement?? ?

My current truck and previous truck both had them on the driver’s side and passenger side. My truck that I owned in between the two did not have the handles on either side and I was constantly missing them.

Scout Motors please put these handles on the A pillar on BOTH sides, they are incredibly convenient and enhance the user experience on a daily basis.

Edit: I’ll also note that my current truck has the same type of sturdy handle for each of the rear doors on the B pillars and I’ve noticed my passengers use them any time they are getting in and they help a lot.

I really really hope this is the type of thing they could easily adjust to include. My stomach dropped when I saw that it was only on the passenger A-pillar.

Just saw this as well. Please include one on the drivers side! Helps with getting in and out of the vehicle with large tires and high ground clearance!
