  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Okay I’m putting this here because I don’t want to start a whole thread. About a month ago the Toyota dealer where we get the Supra serviced sent me a text offering a $300 service contract that included roadside assistance, 3 oil changes and 3 tire rotations in 2 years. Supra oil changes are $250 each and the tires are different size front and back so I don’t need that, but it didn’t sound right to me. I texted back and specifically asked is my Supra included in this deal. So I can get an oil change now, one in 2026 and one in 2027 all for $300 and will have two years of roadside assistance. Got the text back yes and made my appointment.

Went today and said I’m here for the service contract deal. They didn’t say anything. I go to checkout and they said the price was $250. I said nope I’m getting the service contract deal I was offered. Oh it doesn’t include the Supra or GR86. This is why I save my text messages because I knew it didn’t sound right. The service adviser read the whole chain and went and talked to the service manager. He came back and said let me write up your service contract. We don’t want to lose your business so we will take the $850 loss on this contract. I said thank you and sounds like a learning lesson for the people texting all your customers.

The lesson today is keep all your communications with dealerships!
Good for you!

I bought my new vehicle 6 weeks ago.

They had somehow lost the second key. They said they'd send it later that day.

After something like 25 texts and emails, they finally reached out 1.5 weeks ago with info that they'd finally received the replacement key (they'd lost it and had to get a new one).

They've promised to send it each Monday since then, and so far, no action on their side.

Dealers freaking SUCK.

(yes, I could drive over there, but its over an hour away, and has been "not a great time for that" for too long. Maybe I'll get off my butt and do that if this doesn't resolve soon).
