Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I have the same feeling about a robot plugging in a car that I do when I pull up to the gas station here in NJ, and the guy fills my car for me. how do I know that my car will come out untouched? and if it does get scratched who is paying for it?
Very fair point. People have emotional connections with cars and some robot scratches or dents it I’m kicking the oil out of that robot

SLATE has been operating in stealth for a long while now and plans to go to production in 2026. So they are appropriately where they should be in the development cycle. We do have multiple mules built, we just don't have any that look like proper Scouts yet, so we aren't inclined to show them all that much lest we end up having to spend a LOT of time explaining why they don't look like Scouts yet. :D

Makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the information.

But I would like to get your thoughts on the Executive Orders signed today for massive nuclear energy growth and its future impacts on EVs in the United States.

This could lead to a massive shift in the energy sector as well as the EV industry.

It would be great if we could have an apolitical discussion about this policy and what it could mean to Scout and the future of electric vehicles.

I’m a huge nuclear fan, it make a lot of energy. And now with the Micro Reactor that make just as much energy as the full size ones. I’m all in.

It will also help build up our infrastructure for EVs.

Nuclear power is great, nuclear waste not so much, so I’m not a huge fan overall, but improving electric supply and infrastructure has to be good for EVs. Way better than coal, at least.

I want to believe in it and have expressed this on prior threads but having lived close to 3-mile island and the events that occurred and the upheaval of lots of friends and family I’m onboard but not near me. Lancaster county is strategically located nearly dead center of 3 nuclear plants and we were always told we will be one of the first middle strike zones if US is attacked because 3 successful strikes could take out the entire north east or western areas depending on wind paths but typical wind patterns say the NE is destroyed and contaminated. Going to bed now-feeling a bit depressed putting that in writing.
Will the Scout be lead-lined ?

You can tell they are engineers by the way they are measuring the distance between screw...🙄 maybe they should be focusing on that the trucks repair ability is easy. And that its not that you have to take 12 parts off to get to the 1 that needs to be fixed. Thats every mechanics dream. Is easy fixable machines.
