From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

I just DO NOT want the windshield sprayers integrated into them. By far the one thing I hate most on jeeps. In the winter (when I need it most) any snow on the hood prevents them from workingWhat if I promise not to tie anything heavy to them?
Agree but with anything design based, there are always fundamentals which I’d hope SM prevents until folks get them out in the real world. But as my old boss always said. “There’s an ass for every seat”. And I still wonder if it was intentionally said as a play on words
Similar but same experiences and happy for each other we even saw family in NYC which was great as wellChanging the topic for a minute.
Whenever I look for Scout events I always am hoping for events close to my home.
I’ve had a shift in thinking. Last year when we went to Nats we stayed in Columbus, Ohio. A city I would most likely have never visited. Our hotel was across the street from North Market. A 150 year old market full of vendors including excellent BBQ and Mexican food and fabulous gluten free cupcakes. We ate every meal at that market during our trip.
We saw Springfield Ohio and the Navistar Semi truck plant. I know I never would have visited a working semitruck plant. They had tours of the plant in addition to all the OG Scouts and that was where I met my first forum members. Hi @Colton_Scout80 and @Tuff66. We met Chris@ScoutMotors and he was so kind and answered as many of my pesky questions as he could.
Then we went on our Chicago trip. There I met @Jamie@ScoutMotors and @CP1@scoutmotors.
Our most recent trip, we drove through states we have never driven through. We had an adventure. Yes we got to see the plant and the Traveler, but we also saw parts of Blythewood and Columbia, SC. We took a morning and walked around the SC State Capitol complex. There’s an African American history museum there and many, many statues around the grounds. We found a nearby farmers market and walked blocks through all the vendors who were selling drinks in pineapples and fresh coconut water still in the coconut. We went to a General Store that was over 100 years old. I got my very first parking ticket.
I’m now looking forward to more Scout events. We don’t even have my Traveler yet but she already has me looking forward to our next adventure.
