CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I’m starting the thread for our trip. I’m so excited. The time off has been approved, ballgame tickets purchased, hotel booked, my husband has decided which camera he’s bringing. We are ready! I will post all his pictures here and updates from our trip. Can’t wait!!

Okay I have been getting organized for our trip. It’s less than 3 weeks away!

So the plan is to treat this like we did when we did the first leg of our cross country trip. That trip we went from Bloomington, Illinois to Colorado Springs the first day. It was over 900 miles. We left at 2 in the morning and got to Colorado about 3 ish.

This trip it’s 789 miles to our hotel. We are going to leave at 2 or 3 in the morning. The plan is to bring snacks and drinks in the car and get to either Knoxville, TN or Asheville, NC midday for lunch. In one of those places we will do a sit down fast casual meal. Any recommendations for restaurants not too far off the highway? I need gluten free options, please and thank you.

I’m so excited! Plus I’m looking at this as a dry run for our drive home from the factory in my BEV Traveler. I won’t be as nervous if we have done the route before. Also when we come home from the factory we won’t be cannon ball running it like we are for this event.

You are soooo lucky! I wish Scout would do some events out west in the 4 corner states (CO, UT, AZ, and/or NM).

I’m so excited! Just keep an eye out. A while ago they had an event in CO and they had that AZ event not too long ago. That’s part of the reason I’m on here everyday. I don’t want to miss anything.

I would be nice to know if Scout could give you a "hint" if the demo Traveler and Terra are the base, mid-level, or maxed out models? Maybe all models are maxed out and you can add accessories at the factory?

Oh these aren’t base. My husband and I just had a discussion. Absolutely not base. The two tone seats, the double stitching on the leather, the roof aren’t solid. He had a good point, he said there are no internal blank panels. Like when you buy a lower trim and there should be a button there, but there isn’t.

His opinion for the original Tahitian Red and blue Terra are mid to upper. Then the interior on the Pacific Mist seems like it would be even higher than that based on the interior materials.

I’m really looking forward to seeing the Terra on 37s. That to me seems like it would be max plus aftermarket things like larger tires.

I can’t wait to see them. 3 weeks!!

And just saying if one could be PBY I would not complain. Ha! Oh and if there’s merch that would also be nice.

Hey cyure there are two really great places we stop at on our trips to Asheville and that is either Tupelo Honey, or Biscuit Head. Tupelo will give you more gluten free options but Biscut Head has these massive catfish head type of biscuits that are die for!

Also, idk if y'all have been or not or will have the time but the Biltmore is a fantastic stop while in Asheville as well as quite a few good breweries.

Curious though what time do y'all think you will make it to Segra Park?

Even at the reveal we were told these are concepts. Goal is to have to two tone but in what capacity is unknown. These are all leather as well and there were comments made that synthetic may be used as it would appeal to the buyers who are environmentally conscious and don’t want leather. And my guess is the piping, if it makes it will be on a high end model or maybe launch model only. Same with the liner, no guarantee it will make it to production

Faith & Family Night Returns to Segra Park

The Columbia Fireflies announced that Faith & Family Night presented by Scout Motors returns to Segra Park Saturday, August 22. This year, the Fireflies are pulling out all the stops to provide an evening jam-packed with entertainment. The night kicks off with a pre-game concert from rising

Hey cyure, this all the info I could find regarding gate opening times. I was planning on being there a few hours before to hopefully catch the setup of the vehicles

Yes, there will absolutely be fireworks after too lol!

With Asheville being so, uhh, green, I'd be willing to bet there are a number with GF options. Last time I was there, I struggled to find any restaurants downtown that served actual meat. Finally found Asheville Pizza and Brewing which had meat on their pizzas AND a full movie theater/bar. Very cool setup where you can have some pizza and beer while watching a new-release movie (Spider-Man currently), but probably not travel friendly for a trip just passing through en route to Columbia.
