What a great idea! But you might want more than 120kw.LMAO
In all seriousness, you could probably make some good money if you towed one of those to music festivals or events like the Baja 1000

Looks like the company makes a few models, some with more energy storage capacity, such as 200 kWh and 300 kWh but they all seem to have the same 120 kW output power. What a great idea! But you might want more than 120kw.
The newer chargers are “version 4” and can provide up to 500 VDC and a maximum of 250 kVA (kW) per plug.So just had my first official Buc-cees experience between Austin and College Station so somewhere not that far from Tesla. There were 12 of the typical Tesla chargers then 6 of whatever their new chargers are that don’t have the red insets-are those the 400 volt series chargers? Needless to say 28 chargers. Ironically nobody was charging.
Yes but what did you get to eat and how many hats, shirts, snacks did you buy?So just had my first official Buc-cees experience between Austin and College Station so somewhere not that far from Tesla. Truth be told it was a potty break. But the women’s trip down landed beaver nuts and candied cashews at my daughters apartment.Yes but what did you get to eat and how many hats, shirts, snacks did you buy?
I had a near anxiety attack at the one in SC. Way too many people.Truth be told it was a potty break. But the women’s trip down landed beaver nuts and candied cashews at my daughters apartment.
I was told the one today wasn’t busy and still probably 109 people running aroundI had a near anxiety attack at the one in SC. Way too many people.
That’s a very specific number.I was told the one today wasn’t busy and still probably 109 people running around
That’s how many people my wife said she counted. Or maybe I accidentally hit the 9 instead of the 0That’s a very specific number.![]()
I think it is within the margin of error when it comes to crowds. That’s how many people my wife said she counted. Or maybe I accidentally hit the 9 instead of the 0
Need to proof my posts more thoroughly
So you get a Terra EV that goes ~350 miles on a charge and toss a generator in the back and , voila an EREV.There’s a group of engineers who are claiming to have hacked the Lightning’s CANBUS to enable charging while driving. They claim to be testing it with portable generators (no, thanks, not at all interested). They suggest they will be releasing a plug-in solution for sale. I don’t know if I can believe them, but if what they say is true, I might buy it and add a few tens of kWh battery pack to the truck or trailer for when we’re going on long boondocking/trailering trips.
After so long driving only EVs, you couldn’t pay me enough to listen to the drone of an ICE engine—and especially not a gas/diesel generator—while driving or camping. So you get a Terra EV that goes ~350 miles on a charge and toss a generator in the back and , voila an EREV.![]()
Yes. Every time the grid goes down around here, and it happens more that most would like. I step out of my nicely air-condition home running on an alternate power source (Solar) to the sounds of dueling portable generators. Don't miss that at all. After so long driving only EVs, you couldn’t pay me enough to listen to the drone of an ICE engine—and especially not a gas/diesel generator—while driving or camping.

Yes, there are many, many issues of safety with what they’re doing. And their claims are also dubious.Isn't the charging port of the Ford F150 Lightening just in front of the driver's door? Where are they going to plug into that can charge the truck while driving? Adding another charging port in the bed of the truck (the only place I can see having a generator) doesn't seem like a "plug-in" solution. Unless they will somehow feed power in via the outlets in the bed (which seems very unsafe)?
