From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Welcome! Having seen the screens in person I love them as is, but everyone has their own wants.

Ive seen a lot of cars with this new look now. It looks nice, maybe a future gen. Right now I just want to keep the price down and at $60k starting
Appreciate the thought but what is planned is more than enough. There is a heritage to this vehicle that the Chinese companies don’t need to think about. Majority wants buttons, not screens and Scout has noted this is to engage people to get out in the world so sadly I don’t think Tampa’s screens will be added
A theme of Scout is repairability and longevity. There is zero chance these massive and oddly-shaped screens (I'm looking at you Mercedes) will be available when they fail in 10 or 15 years. Without a screen a modern car is literally worthless as it is unuseable.
Also, many of us are coming to Scout to get away from the super massive screens and zero physical controls (I'm looking at you Tesla). Let's keep the screen sizes on the smaller side and rectangular but high quality/high res.
Legitimately... I would have been A-OK without a screen at all, but I realize I'm likely the stark minority in that.
I would be entirely good with just the instrument control panel and a phone interface to control music, maps, etc.
I do like the HUD on the Silverado, but it’s not necessary.
I’ve grown to really like my HUD and use it a lot. Guess some love it, some tolerate and some dont like. Was odd at first but now has grown on me
I love the HUD on my Prius. My driver’s ed instructor from high school drilled in a lot of lasting fears of taking my eyes off of the road for a second in me that would result in a heinous thirty-car pileup because of my irresponsibility. All I want is to not be distracted and kill a beloved community figure because I was trying to skip ahead to a different song or something incredibly trivial.
