Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Wow.

Its probably the best looking BMW in a long time since they began modernizing the exterior with massive grills. The Neue Klasse is easily the best looking BMWs coming out.
I have never been a fan of BMW.

I am very happy you like the Neur Klasse though, I think that is good news for me

Sincerely interested in what people here think about this

My brain jogged back to this. IF the Harvester engine is canted rearwards at a 50-degree angle, what happens to it when I'm off-road, climbing a 100% grade (45-degree angle)??? Whether it's running or not, it'll be past horizontal and all the oil will be draining through the engine down to the head...
Just a thought, and something I'm hoping they're taking into consideration since it can be a problem for ICE vehicles with vertical engines and their oil pickup-tube on the wrong side of the oil pan.
Maybe it’s a dry sump system. I don’t recall hearing anything specific about the oiling configuration. Maybe someone else caught that info somewhere.

Reports from the regions that already have the Neue Klasse iX3 say that it’s a major leap forward for all vehicles not just EVs. I look forward to seeing more North American reviews.

dang it... Finally something NothEast, only like a 5+ hour drive for me.... but on the 4th? gonna have to hold out till the next one.
Event is also sold out. They have platinum tickets available for $1850-ish/ ticket if you’ve got money burning a hole in your pocket. Always wanted to visit Hudson Vally/Saratoga areas but that price is a little rich for my blood.

Man I would love to go to this. I just got the Noah Kahan record I preordered earlier this year.

Sounds like a great time all round for those that can attend

Thanks for the heads up. I saw my wife and I in a couple of those photos, which is funny because there were like a million people there :ROFLMAO:
Ha! Since you mentioned it, I just checked and I'm in one of the pictures from the Training Center story! Very cool - thanks!!

Not a bad video, but every single video I see just makes me wish someone was more focused on the EV variant. I know it's probably not as much to talk about as the EREV with "new tech", but still. Unless it's 200-300 Miles on battery and the rest on gas, I really can't see the appeal of the Harvester, though that's because my daily miles exceed 150 regularly, and I don't want to reintroduce a maintenance schedule along with regular fueling stops

I do wish that it would get more mention. It’s getting to the point where people may not even realize a BEV is available. Also with gas prices being so high I can’t believe it won’t entice people to give Scout a look.

This! But as we've discussed, there is drama around the Harvester and towing capacity so that's what gets clicks. Nothing has changed on the BEV side so it's not clickbait.
