What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Hover mode. That’s a software upgrade, right?
Second generation is supposed to be hover. And 842 miles on a full charge. I hear they are experimenting with pterodactyl and dragon blood to fuel the battery cells. They’re trying to make it submersible as well-so I hear-but that hasn’t been confirmed as of yet

I have a possibly terrible idea.

In Offroad Mode, seat belts have more resistance.

I will be selecting the bench seat and understand there are trade-offs involved like a lack of seat bolsters.

When you are off camber in the rough stuff you dont want to slide over into your passenger so I was thinking maybe there could be a way to dampen or keep the the seatbelts snug to keep you in place.

What do yall think?

Makes me think of the amusement park ride (Hershey Park had one-I’m sure other do) where it’s 3 in a row seating then spins around with great music be the outer person gets crushed due to centrifugal force 😀

LMAO 😂

Can’t say I’ve had the pleasure but that sounds diabolical.

This wasn’t a sober thought, but I remember almost flopping into the passenger seat a few times when I got rowdy in my old 4Runner.

Full Safari Rack System with Jerry Can holders for Gas/ Water . Tire mount (s) Plus Axe/ Shuffle accessory holders such as Fly Rod, Bike, Outrigger etc. If this could be combined with a short later off the back of the Scout and a Scout Branded Roof Top text with Solar built in that would be very cool and functional...Solar could be used for many things such as a 20 liter Power Shower for off the grid exploration. If the entire system was coated with something like Rhino Guard to eliminate rust in places like the Pacific Northwest and California that would be great! a 12 volt converter in the rear running off dual Scout Batteries under the hood would be a nice to have for some applications as well.

Okay ladder question. This is another one of those looks cool but I don’t need scenarios.

The way the back of the Traveler opens and with the tire carrier on the back wouldn’t a ladder have to be mounted on the side of the vehicle? I have seen ladders mounted on 4Runners that way.

I have had both. My Land Cruiser 100 Series had a custom rear bumper with a ladder on one of the swingout arms. It was a split tailgate like the Traveler.

You can get roof rack mounted ladders for the side as well. Some have suction cups that rest on the body or window for lower points of contact. I do not like these since they are closer to the body and I could not get enough of my foot in there without touching the paint or glass.

Welcome aboard the forum and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Enjoy the community

A screen in UI that shows all of the input for offroading like the Hummer EV

Great suggestions!

We do know there will be an offroad mode, but Scout is giving us physical buttons for some offroad features. The concepts have a really neat overhead console that has physical switches for Front Locker, Rear Locker, Disable Traction Control, and Sway Bar Disconnect. I am not sure if those will be able to be manipulated with the screen.

I apologize if I am misunderstanding your idea but I think that is what you mean by inputs?

Air suspension with variable rate shocks are a confirmed option. Definitely a must for getting in and out easily with young and old folks and the bigger tires.

While the Scouts will stand out in the best way possible (damn!-it’s hard waiting) it would be great to add a “find my car” button on an app so if you are parked in one of the 1000’s of parking spaces at Disney or Mall of America or just the Waffle House and you’re forgetful and can’t find your car it will pull up a close up map and breadcrumb you right to your Scout. I know some apps show your basic location but at night with a bread crumb tracer map would make it very easy to find your car. I’m sure many will pull up on the curb or dirt mound-because it’s a Scout-and you can but making it idiot proof to find it would be great.
I once left the mall and walked to my car and got in and 10 seconds later I remembered my interior was tan, not black-weirdest moment-guess they hadn’t locked or my fob opened they’d too but realized mine was another row over 🤣. A breadcrumb app would solve that kind of weirdness too

Ford’s app has a Location feature. It is as precise as you can get with civilian GPS.
It also includes a Horn/Light button so you can play Marco Polo with it.
