What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
No. I bought it directly with my purchase when they launched in 2022 and that line item was from my order configuration and purchase.

Of course, Scout could launch and change directions with their own gear shop or enable direct purchasing at the time of order. I just want to clarify, b/c there are a lot of comparisons being made to companies at a later stage than Scout will be at launch.

Okay.

Today, when configuring the vehicle...as far as I can tell, it’s not possible to add a spare to the purchase without going through the Gear Shop interface. I believe it can be ordered to show up with the vehicle on delivery day, but it’s technically sold through the Gear Shop rather than as a factory option.

More importantly, as you say, a full-sized spare is absolutely available to purchase for an R1T and a compact spare is available for the R1S. And one can purchase a compact spare for the R2.

New to the board here. Can't imagine not having ventilated seats in Alabama. Also wouldn't want to go back to go without the overhead camera view of my X5.

Well welcome to our favorite area of crazy and all things Scout. Strap in, buckle up and enjoy more than you ever thought you could (and add a Yee-Haw) on the way nd-too much caffeine today 🤣. Anyhow-welcome to the forum. Ventilated seats will be available to reduce the swamp inside your Scout. Original launch also showed it will be available for the rear seats as well. As for Birds Eye camera-we can all hope. Enjoy your time here and check out the search button-it will help you find just about any topic we’ve discussed and you’ll find it helps find others thinking about the same things you are. Enjoy!

Okay I have a complaint about the Supra and I don’t know if there’s a way to fix it on our Scouts. On this most recent trip we were alternating driving, but we used my husbands phone the whole time for the directions and what we were listening to. I have my own Supra key that’s programmed with my seat position and mirrors and my phone is also setup as well I did not bring my key along, I just used the memory button on the side of the seat that has my seat position saved.

Now if I got into the car first after we would stop to get gas or food the car would pick up my phone first and we would have to take a minute and go through the menus to select his. A few times I actually had to turn my phone off because it just didn’t want to switch.

It would be nice if there were a way on the Scout to say on this roadtrip always pick this phone regardless of the other phones that are present in the vehicle.

Good call. I'm usually the driver, but my wife is usually the navigator and the one connecting her phone to the car during road trips.

On Hondas and Acuras there is a phone priority list but to be honest, it jumps around as well. I have yet to see a company solve that Bluetooth issue. And agree-it’s annoying

It would be nice if there was a way to “hide” a phone without having to unpair it. Like you could hide it for a day, a week, a month. So it’s still there but just not active. Then when you want to use that one again you unhide it.

Tesla also allows you to set a priority. The wrinkle is the same as the Supra - if you get to the car 15-20 seconds ahead of your husband, even if his phone is primary, it won't see his phone so it will go ahead and pair with yours. But at least in the Tesla the profile is always show at the top of the screen so it just takes like 5 seconds to change it. That profile stores your audio settings (including your streaming accounts), seat, mirrors, steering wheel, etc.

Ours has a screen and when you pair phones it names (or maybe you can name as well) and you can open screen and pick phone. Problem is Bluetooth is finicky and connecting the new phone just slows things. I’m sure there’s a solution but not mine to solve
