Guess the swing out tire carrier is another issue if you tow a lot or tow a boat as you’d have to raise upper hatch (assuming it would without open tire swing) and stand on trailer bar to get things out. Would be a bit of a hassle if towing boat as you basically have to back into slip and drop boat into water before gabbing gear. Guess that’s another thing to consider. I don’t own a boat so not an issue. My very wise first boss -who was divorced 3 times and dating his head of marketing at the time offered me this wisdom and I’ve never forgotten it. “If you can fly it, float it or F-it, you’re better off renting it by the hour, otherwise it will never stop costing you money”

Folding mirrors at low speeds for those tight garages. I know it's been said, but going to say it again Maybe if Scout comes to Boston/Worcester my fears of fitting will be relieved

Oh they need to fold for parking in my garage. I’m crazy and hoping I can park in the 3rd garage at our house. So the single door. It’s 93 wide and the Scout is 91 with the mirrors. Do we have any idea what the width will be with folded mirrors? If I can fold them to park I should be able to do it. Crossing my fingers.

I’d figure folded you’ll save between 6-8” combined between both mirrors. Depends on how far off the vehicle the pivot points land.

So worried about clearing the driver's side and forgot about the passenger's side clearance. Hit it just right on the garage frame and the mirror didn't fold backwards. Yikes! Hopefully they are paying attention and put in a button or something we can press to fold them in, yeah I get I can get out and fold them, but who wants to do that on the rain or snow.

At that starting price point we need a button on the inside to electronically fold them. Please and thank you.

What I like about power fold side mirrors on my current vehicles is it a quick double check to make sure the vehicle is locked. I have the option with my two current vehicles to power fold in the side mirrors and give a lock beep when the walk away door lock feature with security activation. I can also power fold in the side mirrors when driving (that would come in handy in tight off-road situations).

I don't have to take my fob out my pocket to unlock, start/drive, lock, or manually open the doors/hatch/trunk on either vehicle. I have to touch the fob to remote start to heat or cool the inside and open all windows + sun roof. Hoping for a (free) smartphone app as a back-up to the fob to do all of the above.

I can answer both of those questions for you.

At the beginning of that poll they said assume white, black and grey. So there is an assumption that those colors will be offered.

Second, they have stated you will be able to order the Traveler with or without the tire carrier. However, it will not come removable from factory. Now I’m sure people will figure out how to remove it, but if you don’t want a tire carrier you will be able to order without.
