I know it’s unlikely to be a thing since GM primarily make the terrible decision to make the reverse lights part of the curtesy lamps. An elegant vehicle approach/departure light setup would be nice just don’t use the reverse lamps

On the traveler, I’m curious if the rear swing gate can be removed and the spare tire be mounted in the cargo of the vehicle or in the frunk. The ability to open the gate inside a garage without opening the garage door OR just opening the gate hands free would be a great option. Thx.
Welcome to the community. Scout Motors (Jamie) posted a bit ago that you will be able to order the Traveler with or without the tire carrier.
As for where the spare tire will go if you don’t order the tire carrier SM hasn’t posted anything about that. Having seen the Traveler twice in person, the frunk is too small for a spare tire. I wouldn’t think it would be stored there. There also is a consensus on the forum that it will go underneath the vehicle like a 4Runner.

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of conversation on this but you’ll also find the search button icon is really helpful to find answers to questions you might have. I think this group has covered every topic possible along with some shiny objects moments so it is a great tool to narrow in on items and discussions that interest you. Same as @cyure ive seen them twice and maybe a donut spare would fit in frunk but nothing larger than that
According to a previous post by Jamie, the spare tire carrier will not be easily removable. What I mean is, it isn't designed to be as simple us "unlock and lift off". That's because of safety/weight concerns. As mentioned here and by another Scout Rep (I don't remember which one), the frunk is not large enough for a spare tire. Looking at the hinge for the spare tire carrier, I doubt it will have a hands free option; there is no place to put an actuator that wouldn't interfere with the rear tail gate.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but thought I could save you some search effort.
