What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I think there’s a heated wheel icon on the app demos climate options, seems odd to be able turn it on in the app, but I see the use cases
It's super handy to be able to turn on the heated wheel, heated seats, and set the temperature to a nice warm setting from the app. Then, when you go out and get in the vehicle on a cold day, everything is nice and warm and toasty in the cabin for you.

In the Ford app, if you set a departure time 45 minutes or so in advance of leaving, it warms the cabin including seats, steering wheel, etc, as well as preconditions (warms) the battery for optimal range in cold weather. Needs to be plugged into a charger so it can use grid/solar power instead of using battery capacity to precondition. I think if you precondition the battery in hot weather it cools it instead of heating to optimize range, but I haven't had my Lightning through the hot summer months so haven't had a chance to verify that. I got it at the end of September.

I always have phone with me so I don’t think not having watch access is the end of the world. I’d like the apps to be voice. Like hey Siri-open Scout app (ding). Give voice command and done.
I always have my phone on me, with rare times at home I leave it somewhere, but have my watch, however when I'm working or have my hands full having a fast access point to what I need, in this case remote start on my chevy, would be nice... but for that I have to swap from my Galaxy watch to an apple watch

About the only reason I enjoy power folding mirrors is because it might keep people from keying my vehicle (been there, done that - had some drunks hit my mirror then destroy my paint job). My F250 is larger than that F150, and has towing mirrors - so I do fold them to keep from annoying people walking by with their heads in their phone from getting angry. It is pretty rare that I fold them for my benefit.

That said, I do enjoy my towing mirrors - and I can only guess how much they annoy other people if they are not folded.
My Dad has them on his F-150. He folds them regularly especially when squeezing through the gate in the back yard.

I know they’ve said the plan is for the rear seat to fold up with rails for on the floor like the rear cargo area of the traveler , but because of the nature of the concept vehicle it’s not something they were able to show, just like the folding console of the front bench seat
The rails on the floor, if they are contemplating it - I would argue with Scout Executives - they're getting a bit gimmicky if they put rails on the floor in the cab. I've only used the rails on the floor of the BED on my Titan once I think. I haul a lot of stuff around and I either use the 4 traditional corner points or the adjustable rails. But that's neither here nor there, the point being, what is super helpful to me, is the ability to convert that back seat area of my Titan to a perfectly FLAT area. No need to strap anything down back there, even those chairs pictured didn't move for my trip across town the other day. Think FLAT Scout, FLAT like the bottom of boxes or coolers. FLAT!

It is funny, not funny how vehicle manufacturers advertise fold-flat rear seats and, well they don't.

One of the great things about an EV is that there's really no need for the floor in the back seat area to be anything but flat. No transmission tunnel or driveshaft to necessitate a hump in the middle of the floor.

My Lightning back seat folds up and the whole back seat area floor is one big, flat cargo platform. I can't imagine the Scout will be any different.

Yeah I think molley rails under the bench itself might be okay, so you strap things to it and they’ll be fine wether raised or in seat position, but on the floor might be a little much,
