What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
If the Tara does not get a cabana, it could be an easy swap to be the rear window drop/raise switch but we really won’t know until a production build is shown to us. Though I would like rear window control or cabana control within the app. And with the screenshots we’ve seen on the app it does seem that window control is planned to some extent.
The rear window will not open. Jamie confirmed that at some point. Wish it would

Currently, I have a Kia EV9. I love the vehicle a tone and its my first EV. That said, one of the biggest downsides of the Kia infotainment architecture is a lack of customization. From colors and sounds, to background images Kia offers little to no options. I hope Scout follows the lead Tesla made and make fully customizable options from customizing lock sounds, slow speed sounds and infotainment vibes and color options.
Welcome!

"Utility Mode" - I have this mode in my Kia EV9. The mode disables the motors but enables you to use the high voltage battery for HVAC, lights, charging outlets and the vehicle to load (V2L) capability. The V2L capability enables an interior 120V outlet or the adapter in the charge port to power accessories or campsites. Its a fantastic feature that I hope is mimicked in some capacity by Scout.

In the traveler? I’m talking strictly about the Terra as since manufacturing get easier when you can use the same parts in both so on the Traveler you get a Cabana switch and the same location in the Terra can be for the rear window

Sorry. Keep forgetting you are doing the Terra. My bad. I was confused because I’m not sure they’ve 100% confirmed the cabana in the Terra. Or maybe I missed it. I know the steel roof and pano roof are good but maybe it was the reveal it was mentioned unsure but again-maybe it was confirmed since and I just missed it

Last I saw just ambiguous on the cabana for the Terra, but for either I imagine the controls would be in the middle like a sunroof controls, I wanna say the rear window switch is in the middle in my dads 03 tundra but I’ve never used it myself so I’m. Not sure

This is small but I hope the driver side will have a grab handle directly above on the ceiling (not ahead so you can’t just hold onto it naturally). I love being able to hold that while I’m making long drives
@J_Alynn said they confirmed that when he asked in New York when he went to see the Traveler. So looks like we will be getting a grab handle.

Thanks both! Hopefully not on the upper A as you essentially can only use that getting in/out but rather above the arm rest so it can be comfortably held during the drive
Current Passenger one is A pillar.

I see it being A-puller considering the handle is to get in not to keep your arm busy while driving (which also encourages one hand off the wheel. I also think, having seen them in person most women and smaller statures men will need a boost getting up and in and at top of door will be too high for many to reach. Anything has to be better than the passenger grab in the Bronco

Having had the pleasure of briefly parking my caboose in the traveler I will 100% concur and need to say the seating height from a road sightline POV is awesome. I miss sitting up high
Sitting up high is the best. It makes you feel like a boss, and an absolute alpha compared to other vehicles on the road. I’m so glad Scout is gonna bring it back, there’s no reason it should have left.
