What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
have had several trucks with massagers both the Escalade and the Yukon was very nice,Porsche pretty good as well, they dont real vibrate, they go up and down and or hit a specific spot,i.e. lumbar, upper back, for me a must as I do many long trips a year-end hope not to stop ...The massage is just enough to take the edge off along with a few little blue Alleve pills...

On the front bench, it needs a fold out center arm rest. This was the Mitsubishi Montero design for the rear center seat. Even the cup holder folded out. That way, you can use it as a bench when you need it as a bench, but it can act a little like 2 captain's chairs when you don't need it.

Welcome to the community! This is a picture of the back of the bench seat my husband took when we saw the concepts at Nats back in June. It appears to be divided and the consensus is that it will fold down somehow we just haven’t seen it folded down yet. Did you own a Montero? That’s one car Mitsubishi should bring back.

Welcome again!

Here’s what the front bench seat in the Tundra looked like when they had it. They got rid of it, presumably because not enough people bought that option.

This isn’t my photo, but we had one in our Tundra. It was great. Especially since it allowed me and my spawn to sleep in the cabin when we went hunting and it was too cold to sleep in the bed.

Welcome to the forum. It has been stated the retail model will have a fold down center console with cup holders. The seats for Terra were rigged and modified for install the night before the reveal so they haven’t had time to update the seat build to incorporate the center console fold down. Just another feature to look forward to down the road

Awesome! I hope that's a fold forward and not some sort of pull down tray for the rear seat. Without some sort of center arm rest on the front bench, it could be a deal breaker for me.

Yes, had a 2003 Montero, rolled off the lot with 34 miles and finally died on the family farm 2 years ago with 238,000 and change. The beast rests in peace.

Wow that’s amazing. J posted after I did and he said yes there will be one. He has been on here since before the reveal. If anyone would know he would and he says yes. So you are good there!

It would be nice to have a scout as simple as the law allows.
They could call it the Farmall.
Drive a 23 year old pickup. Have never used cruise control. I do wish it had fog lights though.

About the only reason I enjoy power folding mirrors is because it might keep people from keying my vehicle (been there, done that - had some drunks hit my mirror then destroy my paint job). My F250 is larger than that F150, and has towing mirrors - so I do fold them to keep from annoying people walking by with their heads in their phone from getting angry. It is pretty rare that I fold them for my benefit.

That said, I do enjoy my towing mirrors - and I can only guess how much they annoy other people if they are not folded.

I had a thought this morning while reading about the supplier park that is being built along side the production facility. My plan for my next vehicle is to use a dedicated shop to perform a full ceramic coat of the vehicle. This will be more expensive, but also better quality, than whatever "paint protection" the dealerships push at the closing table. It will also be a few days of downtime after purchasing and that isn't ideal for obvious reasons.

It would great if Scout could offer this as an add on prior to delivery (or local pick up ;)). Have a shop somewhere post production that specializes in applying quality protection products. I'd personally be interested in ceramic coat and undercoat.

PPF or Paint Protection Film in certain areas will add much more protection than ceramic, and has self-healing properties. You can also coat PPF with a ceramic finish. High touch or high impact areas from stone chips, bugs, ice or snow are good areas for PPF. I applied completely clear PPF to the front fascia, hood, upper tailgate area, and gear tunnel doors - you can;t even tell it is there... PPF protect really well in areas where there is a flat front (grill area) and protects against scratches is you live where you get a lot of snow and ice bulding-up on surfaces like the hood - especially since the hood gets cold and is not warmed by an engine. I found something called Adams Polishes CS3 spray coating that I use every couple of months after washing and it is amazing stuff. Water beds off and leaves a nice finish. Reasonably priced too! I wouldn;t be surprised if Scout had PPF kits for both trucks available at the factory as options.

Completely agree. I also want PPF on the A pillars, side view mirrors and the door handle cups.

Are you saying you want a bench seat that has a fold down arm-rest, or that you want something in the center of the seats as an arm rest? Scout has already confirmed they have two options for the front seats: (1) captains chairs with a center console and (2) bench seat with fold down center section. So you have a center section arm rest in both options. But I'm just curious about which option you will choose and why.
