What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
My wish list, for when my reservation comes in
  • Built in cameras for when you approach/descend steep terrain or go up a steep hill blindly you have visibility of some sort
  • Rooftop power interface for rooftop tent, could be at the rear of the vehicle
  • Water tank and heater for those hot showers on the trail, just keep it simple
  • A plug at the hitch to be used to provide power to a trailer with solar and allow the trailer to charge the vehicle for those longer camping trips. Ideally if the trailer had the inverter/charger it could be use power from the vehicle when needed and provide extra juice to the batteries on the vehicle
  • Some kind of manual kill switch with real key to lockout the ability to drive the vehicle, but still allow all the other features to be used
  • Built in General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) and/or HAM Radio capabilities or interface
  • Streamlined/aerodynamic light bars, low power under carriage lighting
  • Area for winch built into the bumpers (this this is getting heavier as I am typing)
  • Keep the roof rack with satellite connectivity
  • Add a features like Garmin inReach, Bluetooth keyboard capability, Garmin trail maps, SOS feature, but the plan has to be < $50 a month and be able to be paused
  • Nmea2000, CAN bus Interfaces to allow for control of devices on the vehicle through the bus
  • DC Interface to allow 12v accessories, 12v refrigerator
  • and bring back granny
I would like to be able to tow a small trailer to allow my wife and I to travel, camp and not have to get a hotel, eat sleep and shower on the road.

Welcome to scoutmotors humble abode.

This is a great idea. Changes it from an EV into a “house”, where you don’t have to worry about mischief ending in disaster.

It would be nice if the UI has some simple games. My kids, and myself if I’m being honest, love the games in our Tesla. It’s a great way to pass the few minutes to finish charging on road trips.
Welcome to the Humble Adobe. And i totally agree with that it needs some type of games to play. And the ability to hook up a xbox or ps controller.

And what would be even cooler is if they can work something out with Steam to get the full gaming experience. Like what tesla tried to do.

There are some comfort creatures that I have grown to love in current cars.

Adaptable headlights, rain sensing wipers, heated and ventilated seats.

But one feature I love is simply being able to walk away from the car and it automatically locking.

What feature would you like to see?
Positive or inspirational adventure related quotes randomized upon startup.
Lane centering, ACC, heated seats, and heated steering wheel as standard.

Yes, games, YouTube, and Netflix in my M3P, I completely agree.

When I first thought about this a few months ago, I thought “pish tosh, this is why we have handhelds, I am a hardened adult and I hate fun” but recently started playing games again and was like oh, right, these are fun and pacifying. I saw that Tesla and BMW have controller support and everything, so you could bring a wireless controller from a home console along. I just feel for the parents waiting up for whoever it is playing to “just finish up with this one thing/get to a save point” so you can get on with whatever it is that you need to do. 😅 How that gets used is probably something that someone litigates within the household, but it’s a neat idea. Sometimes it’s hard to relax and read a book or watch a movie, but games are engaging.

Most chargers have an idle penalty that bills the card connected to the Tesla membership if you are still sitting after the charge is complete. Depends on amount but it will tell you. Fortunately so no one else is waiting for you if all spots are full.

There’s also the sense of cheering each other on, competing with each other, and just playing the games together. If everyone is on their own device, you’re not interacting. But when my 4 year old sits on my lap to play the Tesla Mario Kart clone, they have a blast. They think it’s so cool the steering wheel controls the game. When my 10 year old talks smack when he beats my high score in the spaceship shooter game, it gives him a sense of pride. No controllers are even needed to have a good time. I get it that games aren’t for everyone. But we’ve had a lot of fun killing time at chargers, waiting for mom to grab something real quick in the grocery store, etc. I could see me grilling out on a camping trip and the kids having a Tetris tournament in the drivers seat, I’d much prefer that to them wanting to be on their iPads by themselves. Oregon Trail, Big Bass Fishing, or Big Buck Hunter would be great for the Scout brand just to name a few!

So much it’s I couldn’t agree more! My 8 year old and 14 year old love playing games in our M3P.

Okay, when you buy a Toyota GR car (Supra, Corolla) you get a track day. They sent you a packet in the mail after purchase that comes with a folder with info and a little card the size of a credit card with your name on it. You have a year to use it. It’s some instruction and track time.

For those of us who have never driven “off road” it would be helpful to be given some instructions. Not just let loose 😹.

And if we can’t do a factory pick up it would be nice if we could setup a time to come to the factory to have that opportunity in a certain period of time.

When I took my son with me to the Bronco Off-Roadeo it’s one of our most memorable times I’ll never forget. Ford provides broncos, on their course, all day event including lunch and 4 locations to choose from.

Trail guide showed us how to use lockers, trail assist, safety equipment, tow straps. Etc, and navigate off road.

The Tennessee course had water fording, flat prairie to drive fast, massive trails that were well thought out, and merchandise store.

If Scout did the same that would be absolutely incredible.

We totally need that!!!! That sounds like so much fun!

Amber turn signals in back - safety advantage.

Plaid seats - perhaps one light color and one dark. Just had this done on my Volvo XC90 -
