What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I was thinking about that the other day, like what if we have a few impostors here. That are ultimately taking are our ideas and are taking them as their own.

Showing my age ;)

Bidirectional charging will be big for a lot of people. I would love it if Scouts wall charger already had the capability unlocked.

Rivians have the hardware for it but people are still waiting for that feature years later, and in my opinion it would be a huge selling point for a lot of people if they could charge at night and use it to offset their energy use during peak demand hours.

V2X is very desirable. Let's hope they do it.

Here in MA, the Mass Clean Energy Center is doing a demonstration project where they are taking applications from residents, businesses, and school districts who are interested in getting a V2X charger. Applications went live today.

If selected for the program, they will give you a free V2X charger including installation.

Only thing is, you have to have, or be planning to buy or lease an EV with V2X capability and you have to take delivery of it before 10/31/25. Won't have the Scout by then but, wait, let me think... Oh yeah, the Kia EV9 has V2X capability. Might have to accidentally find myself at the Kia dealer again soon.

I would really hope they can support a plow. EV might be tough for commercial operations, but I would hope residential would work.
Welcome to the forum.

They have talked about the Scouts being capable of plowing, and they may even offer a plow as an accessory. I believe there was a picture shown at some point of one equipped with a plow, perhaps at the reveal event.

Personally, I think I'll continue to use my 68 Scout for plowing and save the wear and tear on the new one, but not everyone has an old one around for plowing duty.

For me a sliding back window that opens that allows me to transport long items. I am an amateur woodworker and need to lug long pieces of hardwood from the lumber yard back home on a regular basis.
Ditto mdhanson21 — For me a sliding back window that opens that allows me to transport long items such as my 9’6” surfboards.
Scout Terra has a sliding roll down window.
