What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Heck you should hear the wind noise on my 1978 SSII,I dont think aerodynamics was a thing back then;);););)
My Wrangler needs an oil change on Tuesday. I’m waiting for it to be done. I called sales yesterday and they have some Wranglers with that sky one touch roof. That’s the only can I can think of that has a roof that’s similar to that cabana roof. I’ve been sold on the glass roof but my son and husband are both fully in camp cabana as it’s so unique and fun. It’s ultimately my decision.

Anyway, sales is meeting me at 10 at the service department with one to test drive that has that roof. I’ll let you all know what I think. I’m looking forward to trying it.

Nothing was ever noted at reveal other than to say they were still refining. Aesthetically I despise those bumper steps but more majority of pick up users and someone who works around others with pick ups I think it is a great functional addition. I’d like to see it be a bumper option myself so if people want it it’s a reasonable add and those that don’t can do without. It just looks so clean without t but again-pick ups are more about work than looks 🤣
I would like bumper steps also. Once you have them, you will always want them.

Offroad and snow climate: I would like to see decent towing, a virtual "locking diff" both front and rear. heated/vent seats, full fold down seats for an "indoor pickup truck" capacity. We will use this vehicle in Utah so think snow, heat, towing, range.

Welcome to the community. There’s lots of threads on towing on here. Search function is very helpful. Welcome again!

++heated/vented seats

One thing I had never seen until I moved to Washington State was "ski-gating"... like, folks will drive up to the ski hill and park, then they'll come back to their cars/trucks at lunch and EOD and set up camp chairs and propane burners to have like a little tail-gating type party next to their car. It seems like the Frunk would be awesome for this kind of think because you could keep your vehicle closed up, but be able to get to your beverages and camp set-up while your buddies make it back to the car. Is that a thing in Utah?

It's def a thing everywhere. It blew wide open during COVID when you couldn't go in the lodge, but they eventually shut down parking lots and closed ski areas in New England, so then it became all backcountry skiing at that point out here. We used to grill and chill at the base (and still do), but it was definitely more of a spring skiing thing out here. We have done gas, charcoal and even a smoker. Not so fun mid-winter when its nuking and -5F. The A-Basin parking lot takes it to the next level, but it got so out of control that they had to institute a reservation system for the "beach" which is the base area parking lot: https://www.arapahoebasin.com/the-beach/

Good news is that they’ve confirmed a physical locking rear differential as standard, with an optional front differential (that and the bench is what convinced me to put in my reservation, plus it’s just sexy!)

Welcome to the forums!

Wow-being as I’ve had bad knees since I was 10 I never got into skiing other than x-c once or twice but that sounds (and looks) like my kind of skiing. Such a cool idea and yeah-the crunch and electrical receptacles add that much more to it. On that note since I’m not a winter sports guy or an EV owner-do they make plug in warming containers like they do camping fridges, etc…. Even if you don’t want the grill thing you could cook trays of prepped food and keep them warm and possibly still keep it safe to be in a frunk. Just wondering
