What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
While I understand where you're coming from - I definitely don't want to have a CD case taking up space again. Why not play from your list(s) on your phone?
You mean you don't miss having one of these bad boys in the passenger seat? LOL

This wasn't a serious suggestion - so maybe it should have gone in another thread - but kind of felt like a similar idea to conversations in the forum on physical buttons, air vents, etc. And I'm not really a manual playlist creator so it's easier to pick a CD out of a book as opposed to searching for an album on a service. Even though my Dart has a CD player that never gets used (maybe partly because it's in a weird spot - though it seemed like a cool spot when I bought it. Ha!).

I was just thinking about music habits & how I used to get a new album & listen to the whole thing in one go while driving (and probably let it repeat for days).

We had so many of those. And minidiscs and DAT tapes and I think we have every IPod they ever made. My husband complains sometimes that with everything just being on our phone they don’t come out with new gadgets and formats like they used to.

My bad - should have realized...
With carplay you can just say "Siri, play Tesla" and the whole album(s) plays - no playlist required...

Why stop at CD, let’s get a cassette player. Taylor swifts latest album was sold on CD, vinyl and cassette!

I remember trying to fast forward through a song I didn’t like on a cassette in my car. Fast forward. Count to five. Stop, play. Not far enough. Repeat. Am I on side A or B?

These kids have no idea how easy they got it!
My Supra likes your post and suggests a 9-band EQ with physical buttons while we're at it. Ignore the dust...

Back in high school my truck had a 12-disc changer under the seat, with a remote! I could switch CDs at a whim and songs it felt like. I honestly don't even remember how I got that thing, but it was awesome.

Now-a-days I use my phone, but I'm still a "buy the whole album and listen to it" type of person.

I was driving around the other day & was thinking about how much listening to music has changed since I started driving. Streaming is great because you have access to everything - but you also have access to EVERYTHING. Algorithms either feed you what they want to, or keep you stuck in a loop of what you know, so finding new stuff is tricky.
Problem is turntables and vinyl don’t do well with bumps 🤣
So where can we stick a CD player in the dash? LOL. I hear physical media is making a comeback with the youths anyway - so keep the next generation of Scout owners in mind.

My daughters IS has a single disc which cracks me up but I do have my CD catalog handy on the rare occasion I use it 😀
