From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. Climbing up into that frunk solidified my decision. 33 will be plenty big enough
I am thinking 33" for my daily driver EV Traveler. But, I need to see what the 33" look like on a vehicle. I know the size difference isn't much, still need to see it.
Now come order time if it turns out Scout has figured out how to offer an option of a removable rear tire carrier I am all in on 35"
I have 33s on a 17 on my Jeep. My Traveler will be 33s on an 18 and. I’m sure it will look great. Plus I’m planning on an offroad tire not a street tire so I’m sure it will look beefy enough.
I just really hope that 33s don't look awkward after seeing these on 35s and 37s for years.
I’m hoping that if I go from a 35/20 to a 33/18 and stick with an offroad tire it won’t be too noticeable.
I have never said no tire carrier. I’m just talking about the size of the tire. My Traveler must have a tire carrier. It’s a necessity. Like if it was in a package with other stuff I don’t need I would get that package. I have to have it.
Here’s hoping for no “packages” and just having options, packages from the legacy companies are just about gouging you for money so you get things you don’t want or need to get other stuff you do at a greater cost
Oh I hope so as well, but I have to have my tire carrier.
I had an 88 Ford Bronco in HS (not as nice as this) and I always felt the rear tire added to the look of the vehicle. I feel the same way of Scout.
With all the talk about 33" I thought you may have changed your mind. Thank you for clarifying.
33 is one number off from angel number 333 so obviously it makes the most sense to go with 33s. Change my mind with logic.
Well then there is that. Hard to say no to that.
The look will be based on the vehicle. You have a 35 on your Jeep, but it came stock with a 32 or 33. Your tire looks oversized to the vehicle compared to stock, but barely so. I have a 35 on my Jeep and it came with a 31 stock, and that was the oversized Rubicon tire. A 35 inch tire on on older model than mine would look huge.
The Scouts wheel opening seems designed around the 35. The modern Bronco would probably be the closest comparison. The vehicle seems to be built around the stock "offroad" packages. Base trim looks like it has donut tires on it. That's my fear with the Scout. We're all so used to seeing 35s (and those tire openings seem designed around 35s) that 33s may just look small rather than proportional.
I should have been more specific. I meant on the Traveler. My Jeep currently has a 33. It came stock with a 255 if I’m remembering correctly.
Also when I was at Nats I asked if the Traveler was lifted. They said not lifted in the traditional sense but an offroad setup. Whatever that means. I’m really hoping we get to see a 33 soon.
I agree. Guessing that’s why we need to bug them to load it with 33’s. The prototype is also set with a “lift” appearance so when dropped a bit-33’s may not look bad at all. Time will tell
