I don't think we would cancel a reservation just because what you want isn't available. It is still early for me to know the exact customer flows yet. Let's see as we get closer. That’s the same question I have.

Like Blue/Grey - modern nantucket-blue-metallicSo long as it’s modern Siam yellow I have no problem with that. But please push the brighter colors to start and save the neutrals since so many members are looking for modern takes on the retro colors
Yeah, I thought I knew what kind of color(s) I wanted, but then I saw this thread: https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/scout-ii-restoration-updates-colton-stevens.1520/ and now I want that color!Like Blue/Grey - modern nantucket-blue-metallic![]()
I think people need to come back down to earth.under 60k is the carrot, they dangle it out there for all to see and then come the options, which we have no idea what will be what, why we dont know is the hype......bottomline if you want this thing tricked out it will be in the 80's,which I have no problem with, just give me the opportunity to get what options I want,i.e. heads up,ACC,massage seats etc etc...and those who want the base 60k,that will be their choice....
I think people were fantasizing while going all their fantasy features would be on the base vehicle. We don't know the standard features.I think people need to come back down to earth.
What other vehicle are we comparing it to for the same price range with the same standard features like a rear locker?
I’m onboard for that. I struggle because my first scout was the butter/siam yellow tone but I’d love a good teal blue or blue gray (our Bronco was the azure gray which we called worn denim blue) and either of those would make my blue eyes look that much betterLike Blue/Grey - modern nantucket-blue-metallic![]()
Yeah-Colton’s turned out great. Little more gray than I would like but his is a killer looking scout and honestly-pretty similar in tone to the Azure gray on the broncosYeah, I thought I knew what kind of color(s) I wanted, but then I saw this thread: https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/scout-ii-restoration-updates-colton-stevens.1520/ and now I want that color!
I agree but do hope low $80’s will get it done for most typical upgrades or I do fear SM will lose a lot of buyers. I’m likely to tap out if it gets beyond $82K and I really don’t want to spend that much. I’m thinking $15-$18K in most option builds without air suspension and winches and big ticket items. That will likely land it at $75K range which I’d feel much better about. It’s a tough situation because you can go get an ICE equivalent in a Land Cruiser or similar and be nicely loaded at $75K so above that it just has to be a VERY compelling vehicle as features and comfort and ease of use are concerned. Just my opinion though-Scouts can’t just be for the wealthy or they’ll never succeedunder 60k is the carrot, they dangle it out there for all to see and then come the options, which we have no idea what will be what, why we dont know is the hype......bottomline if you want this thing tricked out it will be in the 80's,which I have no problem with, just give me the opportunity to get what options I want,i.e. heads up,ACC,massage seats etc etc...and those who want the base 60k,that will be their choice....
And Im still hoping for us drivers where our vehicle is our pavement princess but we love love love the off road look and peace of mind those features bring that we can get a toned down off road trim. A Rubicon versus a Rubicon X so to speak. Or a 4Runner TRD OFF-ROAD versus 4Runner TRD PRO. I don’t need winches and air compressors, but I would love steel bumpers and 35s!I agree but do hope low $80’s will get it done for most typical upgrades or I do fear SM will lose a lot of buyers. If you dont need the Off Road Package, a front locker, sway bar disconnect, air suspension, steel bumpers, a winch, etc., it may be better to buy a low trim model and wait for a Bilstien lift kit for it to come out and pair it with your choice in wheels and tires so you can achieve the look you are going for, for a lot less money. And Im still hoping for us drivers where our vehicle is our pavement princess but we love love love the off road look and peace of mind those features bring that we can get a toned down off road trim. Thanks for that idea. The one thing I do really want from your list tho is steel bumpers. I have them on my Wrangler and I really like not having to worry about dings or dents. Heck I even had my rear bumper coated with truck bed liner so it matches the texture on my rock sliders. Ha! Oh and I want rock sliders rather than a step. The Terra as we understand it and the Lightning are very similar. They are nearly identical in size. They both have rear lockers. The Lightning has independent suspension, the Scout will have a solid rear axle and may have air suspension as an option. The range is very similar. The Lightning Lariat at $77k starting price is probably the closest to the Scout as many of us have imagined it.
There is a non-zero chance you will be able to purchase the factory steel bumpers later on if you dont need the entire package. Thanks for that idea. Ugh. I’m back to faith and patience. There is a non-zero chance you will be able to purchase the factory steel bumpers later on if you dont need the entire package.
Not sure how sliders will work yet. The rocker panels have a user replaceable plastic cover so it may require modifying those or adding specific ones for slider integration later on.
Agreed. We dont know all of them, but we do know some of them.
A rear locker as you mentioned will be standard as well as basic coilover suspension.
We also know they are coming with Community UX, four wheel drive, and Scout app integration.
The Silverado EV Trail Boss is another one I would throw in the mix. The lower trim version with no options is $72k. They dont even come with a rear locker on the $88k Max Range version.
I believe this has come up before, but this is all we know officially.Agreed.
One thing that hasn't been stated anywhere I've seen is whether there will be only one battery option for the BEV. I wouldn't be surprised if the <$60k trim comes with a smaller battery with 270 miles range or so. That's typically the way vehicles have been advertised: with top trims and "starting at ..." For the bottom trim.
So long as they don’t hit you with warranty void for doing a lift kit, etc.. which they shouldn’t. We were told we were OK on new Bronco but even that I questioned. We tried to get dealer to put on a lift and they didn’t want the risk so then we questioned it in general. For what the vehicle is built to handle-mods like that should still allow rest of vehicle to be coveredIf you dont need the Off Road Package, a front locker, sway bar disconnect, air suspension, steel bumpers, a winch, etc., it may be better to buy a low trim model and wait for a Bilstien lift kit for it to come out and pair it with your choice in wheels and tires so you can achieve the look you are going for, for a lot less money.
That’s why I didn’t lift my Wrangler. I have that MOPAR lifetime warranty and I don’t want to void it.So long as they don’t hit you with warranty void for doing a lift kit, etc.. which they shouldn’t.
