How did you find out about the new Scouts?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
We bought a mach-e a year and a half ago and immediately loved having an ev. Our Civic hybrid is almost 13 years old now and I’ve long wanted to replace it with an off-road suv now that we have practicality covered with the Mustang (never thought I’d put those two words in the same sentence!). When my wife said you know, I kinda like the Bronco I think I got whiplash from how fast I looked around 😆.

I was heavily considering a Bronco, or more distantly a Wrangler (I prefer the looks of the Bronco, especially the Stroppe, but haven’t ever driven either so who knows where I’d have gone), but really wanted it to be electric. However with the Mustang payment and having gotten new carpet recently we don’t have $$ for a big car payment right now anyway. So I started poking around for electric off-road suvs and fairly quickly found the Scout and thought yep. Except for the headlight design it ticks every box, and I can live with the headlight design. I put in a reservation, mocked up an r2-d2 inspired paint job in photoshop* and here I am. I considered a used wrangler for awhile but decided spending more money right now is not the best use of resources, it would leave me with nothing to fritter away 😆

*be fun to make the paint job a reality as I want something highly unique…it’ll depend on $$$ and factory options - I can start with a white one and if they can do rallye stripes in the right blue, then it’s a matter of painting the pillars and roof and a few other things like the side mirrors, rather than the whole vehicle.

It’s my avatar pic, which admittedly is a bit small so here’s a bigger version. The wheels are from a Bronco Heritage and the bumpers, tires, and roof rack were taken from that green off-road kitted mockup ‘photo’ Scout put out awhile back. The ‘photos’ themselves were from that…other…. Scout forum….

Looks like I never did get around to adding the bumpers, white wheels and roof rack to the rear shot. Oh well.
