Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I’d like to agree and think you’re right but wealthy people shop by name more times than not. Look at how many issues Mercedes has and all the wealthy keep buying-same with RR. It’s a shame because I think the traveler will be better in every way but unless the name becomes tied to luxury-which I doubt-rich will still shop the names of what the “Jones” have. Sad commentary in our society
They might be wealthy, but it doesn’t mean they’re making well-informed purchasing decisions. 🤷‍♀️ People buy a lot of things that cost a lot but aren’t really worth the ask. Maybe Scouts will be the next Labubu but maybe they won’t.

It’ll be that much more of a pain in the ass to get one and make them more of a pain in the ass to insure if they become targets for thieves who want to look like they make an honest blue-collar living but fancier, but we’ll see, I guess.

(On that note, it makes me kind of weirdly excited when I see a Rivian used in a TV show by what is to supposed to be a wealthy character.)

What is a “Labubu”?

An Ionna station opened up in Irmo, SC (near Columbia) a few weeks ago while my family was at the beach. It is located almost exactly half way to home so it made for a single quick charge to complete the one stop trip. I only needed a few percent so less than 10 minutes at a charge rate of 230 kw. Also, it supported Plug and Charge which meant I plug it in and go sit back in the AC cooled car. No app, no phone, no credit card needed. Just as easy as plugging in at home.
This Ionna is also near my son's home in Lexington, so it will be my primary recharge station for my return trip home when visiting the grandkids there. It was the best recharge experience yet

That’s an awesome bonus. Guessing maybe they are ramping up in the area because of SM?

Look at this Ionna station near Westpoint, GA. This is an EV rechargery done right. Look closer in the background. I believe that is the Kia plant that makes EVs. I would say that Ionna is playing smart and their prices is about half compared to Electrify America and Tesla. There is an Ionna near the BMW plant near Greenville as well. BMW is scheduled to begin producing the all electric iX5 by the end of 2026.

These are Labubu. This is just one example of how a Labubu might be used. This was also very much last year’s thing, but it’s a fine representation of a viral sensation. People of all ages went nuts for these. I know that there are people who still actively seek these out, but the initial feeding frenzy is over and done with.
