How long till equipment is charging at charging stations?
We wont, they have their own solution, the EV equipment will be far cheaper to run and maintain. It's brilliant!

Yeah I think most if not all the off-road heavy equipment will use the J1772 mainly because of how many manufacturers are global. Alex from OOO Bits did a good video on this recently. I think the EV adoption in this space makes total sense and surely with the instant torque and power available from electrification the machines will be able to complete any tasks its designed to do.I read that the Case is using J1772 for the 580
But good to know that there is job site solutions. I wonder if the 580 will be for residential type stuff like plowing.
580 model number has been around a long time. It is your bread and butter size when you think of a TLB (tractor loader backhoe) aka backhoe. They are a jack of all trades machine. Being in the industry, I think you may only see these in California for while to come.I read that the Case is using J1772 for the 580

I really hope this isn't the case. Electrification seems like such a cleaner, better solution all around and I would hope more states and companies would lean more into the adoption.580 model number has been around a long time. Many leaders in places refuse to believe in climate change, or just simply understand that air pollution ruins everyone’s health. I know a few years ago the utility commission lead in Alabama wanted to ban “eco-libs” so they couldn’t have any say in anything as the believed in climate science and a push for renewable energy. But that was years ago no clue what’s happening there nowI really hope this isn't the case. Love seeing more of this.

Cost is the true road block I think, well that and I think the majority of companies and or operators in that industry to adopt EV ownership easily. In fact, most of those companies aren't going to think proactively and instead are typically reactive only purchasing new equipment when there is an absolute need to. They will spend X amount of dollars per year keeping their dinosaur burners barely chugging along rather than pulling the pain forward and buying the latest greatest tech that will absolutely save them money.
I cannot answer that very well at this point. The reason is that neither Kubota or Hitachi have EV models available for sale in the USA. They do in other parts of the world. They have shown concepts and prototypes at many shows and meetings. But, there are not official numbers to give price comparisons in the USA. However, there is some data out there that the prices are about 30% more for the comparable electric models. Take that with a grain of salt though as there are so many factors that have to go in like tariffs, incentives (both government and manufacturer), world region pricing differences, shipping, etc.
