I agree with most of it.

I don’t think—from a technical point of view—that it matters whether you get a NACS or J1772 connector. You’re going to have to have adapters no matter what. Most high-quality adapters are rated for much higher amperage than they are likely to encounter in a home charging situation. Personally, if most of the charging is going to be at home, then get the plug that matches the vehicle’s plug. So on a Scout forum, the advice would be get a NACS plug charger unless you find a huge deal on a high quality J1772 charger.

The one issue I have is with their suggestion that you consider a load splitter. No.
If you *know* you’ll have more than one vehicle charging at home, look at some of the load sharing chargers and compare their cost with the cost of installing two separate chargers. Don’t go with a splitter.

First question to answer is if you actually need a level 2 charger installed. Depending on your mileage and the vehicles efficiency, you might be fine plugging into a 110V outlet. If you find you do need an installed charger, definitely look at the YouTube channel “state of charge”, he’s kinda the senior expert on these things and does very comprehensive reviews. He strongly recommends having a professional electrician with ev charger experience do the installation.

Isn’t that basically a transliteration of Bayerische Motoren Werke? What gets me is they use mini and rolls as examples of using bmw engines neglecting to mention that they’re owned by bmw.

Bayerische Motoren Werke, is the Company. Bavaria is the state of where Bayerische Motoren Werke HQ is based.

And yes i agree with Rolls and Mini statement. They messed up big time. And they also don't touch on how the smaller sales brands, like Mini, Rolls, Morgan, Ineos. On how expensive it is to develop an engine, and that they have to meet all these regulations and requirements. It easier at that point to outspend an existing engine.

Hey, we take the Giesel approach in our house hold. Bigger IS better!

The design is more towards the gilded age. And 1930-40s. I think it’s a pretty cool
I appreciate it but I think it is for a limited palette/buyer and I’m assuming that’s the intent-like a cross between the 40’s as you note, a bit of modern Bugatti and a little aquatic Chris-craft thrown in for good measure. And wood hood cool in theory but will be a NIGHTMARE to maintain and avoid warranty claims.
